Its a 3 team race, FIU's loss today pretty much knocks them out of both the conference title, and most likely the bowl picture. Panthers are at 5 losses with FAU, ULM, and MTSU still to play. However, I am not sure if 7-5 puts them in a bowl.

ASU 5-0 (vs UL, @ MTSU, vs Troy)
UL 6-1 (@ ASU, @ Arizona)
WKU 5-1 (@ LSU, Troy, @ UNT)

Scenarios by team:

ASU is officially the only team to control its own destiny for an outright league title. To clinch an outright title, it needs to win its last 3 games. To clinch a share and own a tiebreak, they need to beat UL and one other team. If they lose to UL but beat MTSU and Troy, they will share, but probably not own a tiebreak for the title

UL Can clinch a share of the league title with a win over ASU, and can clinch the title outright with a win AND a WKU loss to UNT or Troy. If WKU wins out, UL needs ASU to win its remaining games in order to prevent WKU winning the tiebreaker

WKU Toppers need ASU to lose once to clinch a share of the league title. To win the tiebreak, they need ASU to lose twice. They can only win outright if they win out, ASU beats UL, and loses to MTSU and Troy

Bowl wise: UL is at 8 wins and is most likely New Orleans bound. ASU is probably 1 win maybe 2 short of clinching Mobile. WKU still must beat Troy and probably MTSU to have a shot at a bowl, unless they beat LSU or something strange happens.

All 7-5 teams will be in bowls. Prolly only 71 or 72 bowl teams this year. 6-6 MAC teams will get knocked out first.

We could possibly have 4 bowl eligible teams. Not bad.

Glass house dude, unt is the only team I can think of that went to a bowl game with a losing record. I don't say that to insult unt, anyone would have done the same thing, just pointing out that we all have our own flaws, so dont hammer wku for their loss. Also, va tech went to a bcs game last year after they lost to a fcs school and that didnt hurt the perception of the acc.

Frankly, with the way wku is playing right now, they would be a great representitive of our conference.

I seem to remember a certain team representing the league as champ with a losing record a while back.

The more Sun Belt teams to a bowl, the better for our conference.
