RE: LaTech and NMSU to Coosa ?
This is true. Didn't you guys send the Tech tennis team to a tournament one year ? And maybe fix the courts ?

Our board took your lead back then, and started giving (because we saw what your board did). We probably have given around $20k, but moved to the Scout Network, so we quit doing it due to Scout being a recruiting service. We did buy around 30 bowl tickets last year for the GoDaddy.com bowl.

Dwayne is one of the "good" ones, folks.

And the administrators make no other claim than that -

The board is for entertainment purposes and for the advancement of LA TECH ATHLETICS - alot of our users get mad because we don't over moderate and are fairly liberal in our enforcement but that may be why we are so popular...

We are who we are - we don't claim to be ANYTHING else

However, we are a $5,000 booster annually and we rapidly closing in on having donated over $100K since its formation (and that's not individuals giving through Tech that are on the board, that is board based projects that we did)...

In addition we provide access to ALL Tech Athletic events to the Methodist Children's Home there in Ruston since 2000 and was named their volunteer group of the year in 2008...

I don't think there is another board out there who puts their money where their mouth is in supporting their school like BB&B -

Louisiana Scout.com has raised over $10,000 of athletics in Suppliment Funds, total gifts and sponsorships are closing in on $15,000. Your board was the model, congratulations Dwayne!04-rock

Im not ragging on the La Tech board. I think it's well run and the new software upgrade they put in really makes it pop.

Im ragging on the MAJORITY of thier posters. For Every DFM (who's posts I enjoy and seems to see clearly the big picture in general), there are 8 "Looking for Results" guys that call a poster a moron if he says that the 'Belt got better last year and might be better then the MAC or WAC right now or in the future.

They had a ball dissing the Cajuns' recruiting area over there. It went on for pages and pages.

I used to visit La Tech's board and I just don't do it anymore, there's no fun in reading the delusions over and over again.

You're board is "the most visited of the non AQs" because people read strictly for the laughs, off base assumptions, sense of entitlement, and generally insane things that get posted over there.

IMO, I think it would be best if the Techsters left here and any of ya'll on their board just left them alone.

Or the multi page one about the Cajuns playing Tulane, when Tulane declined to play them.

If it involves the 'Belt, Cajuns, or ULM, you can rest assured that it will get ugly and ugly quickly. As little as one person with a positive in regards to those show up they will get jumped on.

Hence the popcorn and not registering, sometimes it's fun to watch the lunatics from behind the two way mirror saftey glass.

Either way, we get the traffic and we provide it free for our users...

So we must be doing something right, whether you percieve it as a train wreck, an insane ward, or the smartest group of posters west of Cheniere...

Boise State president Bob Kustra said dominoes would begin falling all over the college football landscape. The Broncos would join the Big East along with Central Florida, SMU, Houston and Air Force. Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State likely would go to Conference USA, and Utah State would join the Mountain West from the Western Athletic Conference.

If i were a Conference Commissioner, I just wouldn't see any benefit
in adding La Tech.. if you look at their overall sports success, their attendence, and above all their location, why would you want them?
There is nothing on their resume that stands out.

You forgot about Terry Bradshaw in the early 70's. Because they had Bradshaw they should be an automatic qualifier.
