An enigma in the state of Alabama
What is with football players from Alabama all having the mop head side swoop hair cut? I've always wondered this, especially since it happens on all levels (Hoover, Alabama, Troy, Auburn)...Am I just making this up?

haha no need for a cheap shot, I think it's a pretty valid point. Exhibit A: the link above your cheap shot.

I wasn't taking a cheap shot. Seriously, it's the same reason people in Texas wear cowboy boots. It's just the way it is. Every place is different and the demographics of each place is different.

I don't know when the last time was that I saw cowboy boots.

I feel like the hair cut(frat shag) as I know it, was extremely popular throughout the southeast for several years.

I'll admit it, I rocked the frat shag off and on for a few years.

Can't speak for Texas, but the majority of people who wear cowboy boots in Nashville are tourists.

the original outbreak is believed to have occured at Ole Miss. Other symptoms include wallaby shoes, patagonia khaki shorts 12 inches above the knee, sunglasses straps, and an affinity to Pat Green music. It has since spread to schools such as alabama, auburn, and others in tennessee too. If observe someone w/ these symptoms please keep you distance because it is highly contagious.

Yep. Saw some guys wearing a t-shirt with a pic of Justin Bieber on the front of it. It read, The official haircut of Alabama. Had to laugh, because it is true.

Reminds me, I need to call and schedule a haircut. Mine's almost down in my eyes....

Alabama QBs with bangs typically have been good QBs. I remember reading an article on CBS Sports before abt it.

I see boots every weekend that the Bobcats are at home. The girls wear cowboy boots and tshirt dresses.

It is all about the circles you travel in. I see cowboy boots weekly if not daily. My in-laws have a ranch acreage and a half dozen horses.
Viva stereotypes!

Is that a little Trolley in the background, and a cannon?

It would appear so. You have to suspend the rules that apply to normal society when you arrive on a college campus.

Yep. This is true. You will also find them wearing buttoned, collared shirts (and the patterns of these shirts usually look as though they would make fine table cloths) along with their khaki shorts or with blue jeans and timberland style work boots. The sunglasses straps are - apparently - standard issue with this ensemble. You may also find them wearing a golf shirt with the little gator on the chest. Further, they are always white and will gain 25 to 30 pounds in the first year or two following their alleged graduation, that is, if they are not already slightly overweight while in college. You can also usually spot these individuals drinking a PBR or other cheap beer near fraternity houses. Attractive sorority girls - particularly bleach blondes are (for some reason) extremely attracted to these individuals. Approach at your own risk.
