And Toledo does just fine in the attendance dept. I was under the impression that the SBC was killing the MAC in attendance that's why I'm surprised that there is not a better crowd.

Average attendance (for TRUE home games):

MAC Average: 17,751
Sun Belt Average: 21,730

Composite list sorted by average:

34,304 Temple

29,420 Louisiana Lafayette
24,636 Middle Tennessee

24,458 Toledo
24,454 Arkansas State
22,723 Florida Atlantic

22,265 Western Michigan
21,925 Ohio

21,292 South Alabama
20,780 Louisiana Monroe
20,053 North Texas
19,349 Troy
19,309 FIU

17,405 Miami OH
17,196 Central Michigan
17,142 Buffalo
16,463 Northern Illinois
16,120 Bowling Green

15,284 Western Kentucky
15,047 Akron
12,994 Kent State
10,822 Ball State
4,620 Eastern Michigan

:ncaabbs: very good.
Temple plays at an NFL stadium, and two of their "home" games were against in city Vilinova, and instate Penn State. So actually the SBC is running over us even more. FIU is not one of the highest so it makes sense after a rough patch and a Tuesday night game.

... games getting more interesting here.

I like both of these SBC teams so I find myself pulling for whoever has the ball . . this is becoming a good game to watch after a slow start 04-jawdrop

Has stAte played either of these teams. It looks like stAte, ULL, FIU, and Troy are the best 4 teams. Maybe WKU. What are the biggest games left and who has the best shot at winning the conference with favorable schedule coming up?

stAte has a new head coach and the HOMER in me says stAte will win out, but who knows? stAte beat FIU last Tuesday on ESPN2. WKU has begun to play some competitive football after starting the year being trounced by an FCS team at home . . 04-chairshot

Two primary bowls (GoDaddy and NO) with backup agreements for additional bowls.

OK . . this game is making me nervous . . Flashpoint comes on in 30 minutes . . I do not want to have to choose between this game and Flashpoint if we go into OT.

RE: FIU vs. Troy Game Day Thread
FIU for some reason with 1:30 and 1 timeout from its own 27, elects to play for OT

8 seconds left, 4th down and short. Timeout Troy. FIU will punt

Looks like the first TV Overtime game Ive seen this year

Intercepted

We have overtime. Fact of the day, Larry Blakeney has never won an OT game.
