Looks like you guys will be a force again this year. The problem is that you wont be sneaking up on anybody this season.
BTW, before the start of last season, I predicted that WV would get 20 wins, and everybody said I was crazy. But even I did not think you guys would end up with the season that you had.

This year we are going to have to pull out the old kneecap defense and break this guys kneecaps before he shells us again like he did last time. What did he miss, about two shots the whole game?

Who else do you return?
I just watched the Elite Eight game again, and was very impressed with the team you guys have. It's a deep one, and pretty versatile.
Whatcha got coming back?

Pretty much everyone minus D'Or.
A Penn St. transfer(can't recall his name) will 'try' to replace him. He already sat out a year, but I think he is a pretty respectable transfer according to the sports reports.
I am by no means a 'cheerleader fan'.....but I like the look of the 'eers next year in basketball.

The return of KP is great news for WVU and for the BE. As is the return of Villanova and Georgetown to prominence.
It makes for some nice tetrads for basketball
UConn, SU, Nova, and the Hoyas
Louisville, WVU, Cincinnati, and Pitt.
ND will be in the mix as well for an NCAA bid, but since they were the major movers and shakers behind DePaul and Marquette getting BE invites, I expect they will want to be grouped with them.
Cheers,
Neil

WVU lost Tyrone Salley and D'or Fisher. Both very big losses. Tyrone for his leadership and D'or for his defense.
However, with everyone else back and some good young additions we should be very good again.
LET THE NOGGLE LOOSE ! ! !

Losing Sally is a big time loss, however last year Frank Young really stepped up at times and should be fine at SF, not to mention our incoming freshman...both Ruoff and Alexander are close to 6'7 range and seem to play similar games to Sally with the ability to drive, play good defense, run the floor well and have excellent mid range jumpers. I think one of them will step up very big for this team next year.
Collins/Nichols
Gansey
Young
Herber
Pittsnogle
That is looking good to me, with Beilein, Summers, and Nichols as the main guys off the bench for a pretty solid 8 man rotation. Ruoff and Alexander both seem like Beilein type players. I really have high expecatations for Alexander, i believe i read somewhere he will probably grow to around 6'8...can jump out of the building, can put the ball on the floor or step outside, i think he will be a real good one for us one day.
Keeping with the thread though....Good choice Kevin, i am so happy ot have him back.
My biggest concern is the loss of Bonner and Byerson, that is alot of depth. They may never have been great, but they were big bodies...i think Coach Beilein needs to brin in a JUCO or some kind of big man who can step in right away in case god forbid someone should go down with an injury.

Good news for WVU and the Big East....add another BEast team to the pre-season top 25 if you ask me.
