Quote:As for the traveling BC teams will have to do, DeFilippo said, "The Big East was going to expand (anyway). We would've been making trips to Notre Dame, DePaul (in Chicago), Marquette (Milwaukee), South Florida, Louisville and Cincinnati. It's not going to be a whole lot more of a disadvantage (traveling)."
That is interesting...USF would have been invited anyways? Maybe I'm reading into that too much.
Quote:There were reactions we didn't anticipate.
You really didn't see that reaction coming? Cmon.
Quote:BC will continue to play some New England teams in basketball (Harvard, Providence, Dartmouth, Holy Cross)

Doubt you're reading into it too much. Let's face it if we split BC likely would have stayed and you know darn well that we wanted a 9 team conference. So it would have been the 6 remaining BE FB schools at that point plus UL, UC, & USF.

Really, does anyone think BC will compete for the ACC Crown? They couldnt beat Miami and Virginia Tech. Now they play them FSU, Virginia and others.

Well actually, I do.

I was picking BC to finish 2nd in the Atlantic Division behind FSU, but now with Wyatt Sexton sitting in a mental ward claiming he's God, I'm inclined to believe BC can walk in the door and have the same kind of success VT had last season.

In most yrs...BC was a 4th or 5th place team in the old BE....and New England is at best subpar when it comes to high school football talent...so no...I don't see BC becoming a force in the ACC

-- That would be a disaster for the new ACC champiosnhip game....I don't think ACC fans have grasped yet how small the BC fan base is and how poorly it travels...if BC would make the ACC championship game 25-30% of the staduim would be empty...the fan base just isn't there
