That was an interesting thread.

I was a bit surprised that they have so much disdain for Notre Dame. I was also surprised that most of them considered Pitt as a potential nominee over Syracuse. The irony was that a lot of them wanted to see the PITT/Penn State rivalry renewed when PSU doesn't want to play a game.

It was also nice that several of them didn't want to destroy the Bigeast. Not every conference has shown that integrity.

I think the main reason they don't want to destroy the Big East is they would get blamed for it vice the ACC.

Geographically the Big East and Big Ten are neighbors so Big Ten fans respect the Big East for the most part.

Besides, I thought that C-USA said that they were better then ever, including better in football? How is that tearing a conference to shreds?

Ummm, the fact that you added those schools meant the Big East had to add the schools they added. Even you can't be that stupid.

That explains it all. I guess it sucks to slip to 3rd place in a conference you dominated.

Sucks for them. Maybe if the ACC hadn't took another conferences teams C-USA would still be together.

No wonder you're so happy to have the BE imports. Someone had to save your BCS bid; FL ST certainly wasn't up to the task.

Is this what you as a Bearcat fan would prefer?

Well, technically, I suppose the BE didn't have to add UL, UC, and USF. I mean, I'm sure the NCAAs would have allowed a waiver of the criteria that starts this September that for a conference to be designated a 1A conference it must have 8 full members participating in football.

Cheers,
Neil
