They don't have to be, the conference just has to be good enough, which is it. Louisville is a Top 10 program, Pitt a Top 20. I think that's enough replacement for Miami and Virginia Tech to keep the BCS bid. And if those programs aren't good enough for a BCS bid why does C-USA deserve one?
Actually Cat, Lousiville is not a Top 10 program and Pitt is not Top 20. And please don't compare UL and Pitt to Miami and Va Tech.

You know why the BE kept the BCS status and it had nothing to do with what you said. And who is exactly deserving of BCS status? How do you ascertain BCS status? Is their a criteria in play that take you step by step to help a conference achieve BCS status?

Keep it real dude!

Lets see, Louisville finished the season in the Top 10 and are considered a preseason Top 10 this year, at worse Top 12. Pitt finished the season #21, and are in some polls, ranked #19. As for the rest of your comments, blah, blah, blah, whine, whine, whine, b*tch, b*tch, b*tch.

LOL! Also someone needs to tell the BCS that Louisville's ranking in the Top 10 doesn't count. And before someone makes a clown of themselves, know I'm not calling Louisville one of the Top 10 tradition rich programs in the country, they're a Top 10 program THIS YEAR as in a Top 10 football program. So Louisville is a Top 10 program, Pitt a Top 20, at worst Top 25. And that fills the role that Virginia Tech and Miami left as far as rankings. Maybe not as high and as lofty but still strong and impressive.

did i hear someone say to not compare lville and pitt to miami and va tech

ok pitt beat va tech the last 3 times they played. pitt is above va tech
not too sure where loiusville rankes since they haven't played a down in the big east yet and didn't play b.e. comp. they could sweep the big east or fall on their faces who knows

but i say in rankes of conferences is goes

big 10, sec
big 12
pac 10, acc, big east

then the mwc
cusa, mac, wac

sun belt

big 10 and sec is heads and shoulders above every other conference
big 12 is there but the big 12 north is very weak.
pac 10, acc, and big east on same grounds as usc will te again. acc's top really ain't where they was 5 years ago but will still contend. and the big east isn't that far behind the acc and pac 10.

mwc is almost to the level of big east but really had noone besides utah.

Why I gotta be whinning Cat? We all know why the BE kept their BCS status and it had nothing to do with the addition of UL, USF or UC. If I'm wrong correct me.

And to correct you, UL is potential Top 10 team and Pitt is a potential Top 25 team. How can you be a Top 10 or Top 25 team when the polls haven't even come out yet genius?

Blah blah, whine whine, and *itch on that!

U'r the most defensive and sensitive summa-ma-gun on any board across the world Cat. Take a retalin or something and chill.

Exactly! It's a waste of time defending the Big East against the C-USA fans who feel the need to come over here and tear the conference down. They can spin it anyway the want, the conference is a Big 6 conference, a BCS conference, and gets incredible media coverage because of the markets they're in. The conference has several Top 20 programs, one of which is a Top 10 program, 6 returning bowl teams and the toughest non-conference schedule in the nation. My god, we waste our time defending the conference, the conference's pedigree stands on its own!

Actually Pitt has beaten Va Tech at least 4 straight times (2000-2004).

Marshall has beaten UL the last few times they met. Do that makes Marshall better than UL?

Utah has to be better than Pitt after the demolition that took place in Jan 2005.

U got the Big 5.

Then it's the BE & MWC

And everybody else.

Because many of the projected polls have come out already "genius". And Louisville finished in the BCS rankings #10 and are expected to be better this year "genius". And Pitt finished the BCS rankings #21 with one of the youngest teams in the country and return virtually the entire team "genius". Common freaking sense. What do you think, they're going to have Louisville ranked #25 to start the season, and defending Big East champions who return everybody out of the polls? You don't have to correct me I have COMMON SENSE. God Hidden Dragon let it go. In fact, why the hell are you even in this thread?

Cat, who's tearing the conference down?

Is that a tear I see running down face Cat? Stop crying already!

Any constructive observation by anyone outside of the BE is taking as an insult by you. Stop acting like a pussycat and act like a Lion or Tiger or something.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that. And your comparisons don't make sense at all because Marshall beat Louisville once over a couple of years stretch, Utah beat Pittsburgh ONCE. Pitt and Virginia Tech were in the same freaking conference.

Not the AP, Coaches, Harris or computer polls genius! I'm here because it's a public board and I'm not flaming. Although you probably think I am.

Actually what is funny is that you've already self-destructed. On many occassions. Then you take your ball and run away screaming "leave me alone" and "go away already"!

They got a name for that Cat and you shouldn't wearing it so proudly!

Again, get some sensitivity training and learn how to view constructive observations and opinions in ways other than a negative one.
