Back in the 90's and the Big 10 take WVU/Pitt
Too bad they didn't focus on PSU "biggest & most popular" northeast school
Big ten would have went to 12 and RU,Uconn,Temple,UC,USF,UL,UCF,Memphis,Marshall could have there own BCS conference

ACC if they had taken SU/PSU they would then be the "Atlantic Coast" conference.
ACC North
BC
SU
PSU
Maryland
FSU
UVA
ACC south
UM
Clemson
Carolina schools
PITT/WVU would have been snatched by Big 10 playing teams like OSU/Michigan
ND then would be screwed over

Maybe nothing would have happened.
In my opinion, the idea of the Big East taking deep south schools like Memphis and UAB from CUSA into the Big East is not something UConn, Rutgers and Syracuse are going to want to deal with. Maybe ECU because the Outer banks has a lot of retirees from the East Coast. ECU is also a residential school with out of state students from the East Coast.
I think the Big East will stay at 8 for a while. The Big East football conference has always been 8, and its going to take a very good reason for that to change.
