An interesting observation was made on Gomeangreen and I thought I would bring it to the other SunBelt schools to see if there is anything to it.

It was observed that in the new stadium there is little to no signage pertaining to the SunBelt. No banners, no logos, nada..

The question is this normal for the other schools in the Belt? What SunBelt Conference stuff do you guys have at your stadiums?

We have team flags of each school at the top of our stadium. I thought all SBC schools had that.....?

Veterans Memorial Stadium has Sun Belt Conference flags along with flags of all the football members. We also have Sun Belt logos on our basketball court, baseball stadium, and softball stadium.

We ran out of money.

We don't even have it on our field.

SBC logo on football field and basketball court. SBC flag along with all SBC team flags along top of Floyd Stadium.

There have been SBC banners along the endzone stands' railings in past years. Not sure if they're there now.

I thought field logos had been made a requirement as part of the branding initiative pushed by UNT.

Exactly. That's what makes it odd that it's not there.

They are still there. Sat right underneath them at the Memphis game.

I guess the field Logo's arent a big deal for FAU since we have real grass and can simply repaint. I would imagine with Turf the process is a tad more difficult.

I guess since they are headed to CUSA....they didn't want to cut up their new turf....?

This is what one corner of the field looks like, as today the field is officially being renamed Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium. This is on the home side close to the open end zone. There is another Larry Blakeney Field spelled out in front of the student section, but minus the Sun Belt logo.

I wish the Sun Belt had an edgier looking logo to put on the fields and use as patches. That logo that's used now has been outdated for a long time.

I agree.
I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to team logos, but a conference (the public relations firm for our teams) should maintain a fresh, new look.
And that new look is way overdue.
