RE: OT: The Walking Dead on AMC
I've been trying to get into this series, but it's tough. They should have given the walkers a bit more intelligence than they have. It's not a challenge to kill them. The only challenge comes from the numbers of them.

Anyways....
Who did the kid kill last night? I saw that he killed a real human (I think), but I didn't catch who it was.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead on AMC
Definitely the best show on TV now and in years.

Fanof49, are you talking about the guy with the rifle that Carl took out on the tower? As for the guy getting on the tower, unlike walkers I imagine the Governor's crew can get in fairly easily with bolt cutters.

The walkers don't have intelligence because as the guy at the CDC explained and demonstrated, only one part of the brain comes back and that is the part that drives them to consume. They are easier to kill because people who are still alive more than a year later have become proficient at killing walkers. I read a description somewhere early on that the walkers are like the weather. They are not really the story but they aree always something you have to deal with and they can be very dangerous. The people are the story.

I have been hoping we would see Morgan and his son again and I bet Tyrese and crew show up again as well. I nearly came out of my chair when that bolt from Daryl's crossbow saved Rick.

I suspect that the next 5 episodes will find Rick and company less and less secure and running out of ammo and food so they will move on again at the end of the season or before. Looks like they might scout out a town to fortify.

Is this suppose to be the English language?

Cannot understand creative writing? Was a reference to the big Dallas episode from years gone by. If you are fairly young you would have never heard of it probably. The previous year's episodes turned out to be totally a dream. Also that hospital series years ago turned out to be a complete dream the last few moments of the series. Believe the hospital series was called Saint Elsewhere, but not sure.

I think the more important question here is do you understand syntax?

BTW: I'm willing to bet out of the two of us I've spent more time in creative writing workshops and classes. I could be wrong but I doubt it. Saw quite a bit of "work" that resembled your writing. We had fun on those days...

I thought Maggie took out the guy on the tower?

I live in the City of Senoia which is the Town of Woodbury in the show.

And as a matter of fact they are filming downtown right now. And I've seen all the actors around town in person since they live in the Newnan/ Senoia area.

My neighbor got 2k so Raleigh studios (based in senoia) could film her house.

She may have. There were 2 or 3 of them taking shots at the guy. I don't recall Carl shooting anyone specifically.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead on AMC
I'm surprised at how divergent it is from the "graphic novel" (comic).

I kinda hate that they made the governor so much less.... evil than the comics, and I kinda miss Tyrese from the books. I was hopeful he would stick around for a while, and still have hopes he's gonna make a comeback. Rick's crew needs bodies.

Now, the next part is a spoiler, so if you don't want to read it, feel free to skip over:

Any chance that Merle is a "double agent" for the governor? He knew all along he was going to have to fight his brother, and the governor wanted someone inside the prison? Merle wants to get vengeance on Rick for costing him his hand, and separate his brother from the group to get him back.

And does anyone think it's kinda weird that we never saw Lori's body? We saw a biter with strands of lori's hair in his mouth, but no body, and supposedly when Rick opened up the biter, there was no flesh in there that could be attributed to Lori. Maybe she's still alive somewhere, because we also never saw Carl shoot her. We only heard the shot.

Just food for thought.

I could have been mistaken. I was moving some stuff during that part, and thought he killed a real person.
I need to watch that part again on on-demand.

My favorite characters are Rick and the Governor, unfortunantly I think one of them is going to die by season's end.
