Conference Game Attendance Record
I'm not sure who owns, it I think the Cajuns might. (28K for FIU in 08)
However, I think we will set the new mark on Saturday night. I think we will hover around the 30K mark, and I imagine FAU will bring very few fans.
If the Cajuns win, go to 4-1 and Troy travels as well or better as they have in the past. I think the record could be broken again next week.
Hopefully, the number will be broken many times over by other Sunbelt teams.

RE: Conference Game Attendance Record
I think MT is the leader right now. They had 29k for the TROY blackout game last year.
For the ULL/TROY game you'll have the entire Sound of the South in town, so there's 320. Our fans usually travel pretty well to ULL. So I can see TROY filling up at least one section at Cajun Field.

I don't know what's going to happen on the field, but I can pretty much guarantee you that your band will kick ours in the ass. AND I will hate you for it.
Ours wants to be a show band when we really need a kick ass football band.
I hope ya'll perform at halftime. I guarantee that you'll be bored to death with ours. Last week they performed the William Tell Overture and the theme from Pagliacci. Technically great performance, but zero wow factor.

That sux. Too much good music has come from your state and city to play the "classics".
I've always thought your pepband was great.

Get over yourself.
AstroCajun, I was in the Sound when we played ULL in 09 and I thought y'alls band was pretty darn good. BTW, we will be performing halftime, it's a spy show. I'm really excited about the game and we always enjoy ourselves at Cajun Field. The only thing I don't like about Cajun Field is the annoying hurricane siren the pressbox plays when you make a touchdown.

Troy4ever,
Thanks to the kind words. The Pride is a technically proficient band. But my issue with them is that they don't do enough to contribute to a game day atmosphere in football. They can form excellent basketball band but their work in the stands during football season falls woefully short.

Attendance for the MT/Troy blackout game last year was 28,010.
UL/FIU in 2008 is the highest attended conference game in SBC history at 29, 031.
That record has a chance to fall this weekend. If the Cajuns win, there's no question the record will fall when Troy comes to town.
