So many things to say, So, so little time to say it....
03-melodramatic

I had names and threads archived ready for a little payback jousting...

The board last night was jovial, appropriate props were being handed out... It was nice...I felt all fuzzy and goose bumpy... You know the feeling?? Kind of like when you're watching your girlfriend cooks supper in the nude?? Ya know??

Anyway, I'll hold onto those paybacks...Its a long season and anything can happen...

This week, I'll sit back and enjoy the fact that the Cajuns, just might be turning the corner.

Have a great week.

Z

LOL, break it open Z. It more fun now than the post season retrospective analysis. Obviously, ULL are not only contenders for the top attendance but the championship as well. 04-cheers

RE: So many things to say, So, so little time to say it....
Congrats on the win.

But I'm not ready to call the Cajuns a contender and I'm still not convinced FIU wasn't a paper tiger. Don't get me wrong, FIU is not a bad team, and this as good a win as the Cajuns have had in a few years, but as he said it's early in the season and anything can happen.

The Cajuns other two wins came against Kent State, who's lone win was an 8 point victory over South Alabama and Nichols State who's lone win came over NAIA Evangel. Nichols got shutout at home yesterday against Northwestern State.

The good news for the Cajuns is they should beat FAU next week and WKU in late October. If they can win those two, they are at worst 5-7 and 3-5 in conference, which is about the best case scenario I saw for the Cajuns this year.

Provided they can win one they're supposed to next week, I think we'll learn a lot more about the Cajuns in two weeks when they play the Trojans.

Since we did upset FIU, you can now pay your respect by calling us UL.

The ESPN 3 announcers called us Louisiana and UL all night long.

Get used to it. It is who we are!! 03-nutkick

It was a good win by the cajuns last night and while the result was not good for us, it answered a couple of question regarding the future of the team. A lot of us were worried about the O after this year but we got a glimpse of JM throwing and running (hope the cajun he knocked out is ok), Times, Coleman and Wright showed up and of course Rhodes will be back next year.

I'm not gonna make any excuses about who we played vs who they played nor speculate with what ifs, the Cajuns came prepared and did what they had to do to get the win. What I will say is this, based on the results of games across the conference yesterday, all the DC will be having sleepless nights until December.

Ease up junior...we couldnt settle on a qb for the first 3 games. We have won the games we were suppose to and 1 we werent suppose to. I dont think I are anyone else was implying that we were contenders, although we have as good a shot as anyone else. Now, why dont you guys go out and when one you are suppose to.

This is the post I was replying to, where someone did say you guys were contenders. I think you guys are "in contention" for 6-6, but not much more than that.

I recognize that 6-6 would be an accomplishment for you guys considering how far you'd fallen, but I wasn't saying you guys aren't any good, I said that I'm not ready to call you conference championship contenders.

We are not claiming to be the Belt champs either. You see a lot of Cajun fans pounding our chest because 90% of this board predicted a 2-3 win Cajun program. After 4 games you are seeing what we told you you would see out of the NEW Cajun program. We have been a top 4 Belt team talent wise since 2005 but we didn't have the coaches to go with that. Now we do and you are starting to see the change that has been taking place in the entire program not just football.

I don't think there was a single post by a Cajun fan staking claim to the Sunbelt throne. We all just said we were a 5-7 win team.

I didn't think we would be a contender this year, however i did think we would do better that everyone else was predicting, even other Cajun fans..

I thought we would be 7-4 overall and 5-3 in conf...
I thought we would win all our home games and 2 road games.
I thought we would beat Kent St. and WKy. on the road...
I thought our hardest home game would be Troy, and i thought we would upset them at home..

Not to many agreed with me, now, could happen!!!

Good luck to all.. (except when playing the real UL!!)

I know you guys all wish and hope you guys will be "UL" someday and think that by calling yourselves "UL" it might just happen, I'm not going to try and tell you what to call yourselves and I have no problem calling you Louisiana or simply the Cajuns, but I will not call you the two letter moniker and I will not call you University of... because you aren't.

Having said all of that, even in your warped reality in which you are "UL" how exactly would you be "the real UL" when The University of Louisville was founded over 100 years before The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the school officially became known as the University of Louisville in 1846, still over fifty years before your school was founded as Southwestern Louisiana Industrial Institute , and nearly 150 years before your school was briefly officially known as "The University of Louisiana"?

Even in the highly unlikely event that ULL is ever officially "UL" how would that make you "the real UL"?

You do realize that Louisville goes by U OF L, right?

And when we say "the real UL" we're talking about us as opposed ULM being the real UL.

And in our state everyone knows who "UL" is.
