Kilgore looked scared on that last play. MTSU had their chance but blew it. Oh well, it was a good game. They played tougher than I thought they would!

That was an AWESOME game...had my dad (72) cussin' and carin' on all afternoon! Kilgore is going to shred some other defenses in this league before the season is over...best game I've seen them play since the NO Bowl.

for the MTSU fans who made the trip down, what were your impressions of the campus and the gameday atmosphere pre-game?

It's ours, no you can't touch it, go back to Tennessee where you belong.

Yep, good game Trojans. We had our chance and just couldn't hang on to win.

I was sweating and cussin' most of the game.

It was an exciting nail-biter. MTSU gave Troy all the Trojans could handle.

Troy's defense baffles me with its tough play followed by horrendous breakdowns that allow huge one-play gains, and its soft short pass coverage that invites teams to gain 7 to 15 yards at a time, consistently.

The Troy offense showed that when the receivers run their routes and are in sync with Corey Robinson, no one can stop it. Robinson is the real deal. he left the game for 15 minutes or so and came right back in to immediately throw a 75-yard TD strike.

Penalties are again a major concern this year, especially the stupid personal fouls after or away from the play.

Good game by both teams. It feels good to be 1-0 in a Sun Belt Conference that could be bloody this year.
