Something tells me a few of the "big boys" are gonna get left out in the cold and will need some ooc games.

From this I take it that WVU already has a under the table invite to the SEC.
If this happens the BE is going to raid C-USA for two or three teams. Then C-USA raids the SBC or WAC for a few teams. I cannot see this not affecting the SBC in some way.
When/if there is a move to super conferences I hope the non-AQs and former AQs that are left out put there heads together and form some sort of playoff and lose the bowls. I think there could be some pretty good football.
Personally I think the super conference model is unsustainable. Rivalries will be lost and the money ceiling will be met. I am interested to see how splitting the money 16 ways is going to work.

There should be more money to split. I think the Non AQs have enough going at this point to survive and something tells me the AQ's won't completely eliminate playing the rest of us. They'll still need a warm up game at the beginning of the year and one on occasion in the middle for a break. Paychecks may get a little smaller.

Baylor and Iowa st. have reached out to TCU. They are trying to keep the BIG 12 alive with or without Texas Am, Texas, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma st.

Its an odd scenario that presents itself, Depending on what Texas does will determine if Texas Tech stays or goes in the big 12, if Texas goes independant then Tech will stay in a reformed big 12, but if OU, OSU, and Texas go west, then Texas Tech probably goes with them. Still, I think its possible for the Big 12 (or whatever the hell it is) to remain as viable, if not more than the Big East with a core group of Kansas, K-state, and Missouri. Say, all other teams leave and its just KU, KSU, Mizzou, Baylor and Iowa State left, if they add TCU, Houston, and say BYU, That easily seems like a top level conference that should be able to maintain AQ status. If they get really adventurous they could add Boise. Just something to chew on.

RE: Pitt and Cuse apply to the ACC
The end game looks like the Big 12 and the Big East will be reduced to shells of their former selves. If the Big 10 (plus whatever) jumps back in and the SEC and ACC all decide to go to 16, then there probably won't be more than 2 or 3 teams left in each of those two conferences.
So what happens next? Would the Big 12 and Big East be able to keep their AQ status and current TV contracts (assuming they get up to 5 or more teams)? Do they merge, rebuild seperately, or just dissapear?
And more directly to the point, what happens to The Belt when all is said and done?

Pitt, Syracuse, Duke and UNC, playing each other in roundball, will make for some very good games.

UCONN will almost certainly be joining as well...
