FYI, from NIU Today...

"Shelley Binegar, assistant athletics director, estimates attendance will top 40,000. She expects more than 2,000 NIU students are taking seats in the stands."

40,000+. and 2,000+ students is pretty darn decent, especially with the price point, the economy, etc. Get excited and quit *****'n already!

(not you Happy huskie)

GO HUSKIES!

GO HUSKIES!

That is sad considering the BOGO offer and that we have 5k tickets set aside for them.

I am getting excited though!
Just went shopping for pregame food/drinks!

I'm getting ready, too! I went out last night and bought an extra 12-pack of toilet paper.

Glad you're excited, our glass is half full though (not sad), please remember that WMU and Illinois (a very similar matchup) only put 15k in the seats for their NFL stadium contest. We crushed that number at 40k+.

Have fun Saturday!

But the Ball St and Indiana game will likely stay as the largest attended MAC hosted game this year.

Now THAT is funny!

Announced crowd for that game was 40,224. I would bet we surpass that.

GO HUSKIES!

I wonder how many NIU students would have gone to the game if it were in Huskie Stadium. I wonder if there is any value in having more students attend. Especially in the long run.

???. NIU students in general have been awesome about showing up for games in recent years. A true home game against Wisconsin would have overflowed the stadium, including students fighting for tickets.

It's not the size that counts, (ask DogFan), but all the details surrounding it that do.
I hear we had a good, intense practice so far this week and will be prepared to play and win on Saturday. Go Huskies!!

Never was going to happen but I have no doubt that 8K students would have shown up for free.

Wow, forgot about that one. I haven't seen anything about it on the MAC board.

It's the EVE of the EVE and I have tomorrow and Monday off. Looking forward to a long weekend, a Huskie upset and a vist with my younger Daughter in Ann Arbour on my way home from Chi town on Sunday.

Win or lose I intend to have a great time at the game and in Chicago this weekend!

Just to make sure I don't lose the ESPN3 signal, I rigged a fancy range and power extender to my wireless modem: a beer can.

Keepin' it real Huskie style.

I am as big of an opponent to SF for this particular game as anyone, but I think we should all call for a 3 day cease fire and enjoy the experience as it approaches. It should be a good day of college football in Chicago.

I just want to win. I'm still hungover from the Kansas loss. A win vs. Wisconsin would cure that.

A win against Wisky would be rediculous. One game could not only give us some national spotlight, but probably put our QB in a Black Horse Hiesman discussion. Kind of like Wolfe a few years ago.
