Black - me
Red - wife

I think the Alum Association is giving away T-shirts too.

I think we should all go with black...to distinguish ourselves from UW fans.

It's our "home" game, so I'm wearing red.

Anybody know for certain what time that south lot opens for tailgating?

Chicago Bears Parking Information

Hours of Operation & Access... Parking lots open four hours prior to kickoff. All patrons must leave the parking facilities two hours after the conclusion of the game.

I will be getting there around 10am

Are the Bears playing sat? I was told by someone in the athletic department that the lots would open 5 hours before the game.

RE: Good News! 72 & Sunny at Soldier Field!
And another thing.

If you enjoy tailgating at all & weren't there for the Iowa game...do yourself a favor and get there about 9-9:30. (Whatever time they said for Iowa they opened earlier.)

Figure you need to shut things down about 2 or so to get to your seats, (This ain't HS.) as you want to be there for the National Anthem as there is rumor somewhere that the guy who does it at the Blackhawk games is singing.

You've spent the $$ for the tix & parking etc..it makes sense to get the extra time in to enjoy the day. 04-cheers

If this game is ANYTHING similar to the NIU-Iowa game at Soldier Field, I strongly advise to leave the kids at home. Drinking, swearing and fights in the stands was the norm in the 100 level. I'm expecting more of the same, just fewer people.

Sweet, more room to throw Wisky fans over the empty seats!

My kids will be there, but I will second the statement about the parking lots. I showed up five hours before kickoff against Iowa and there were lots of Hawkeyes there and they were loaded already. Also, beer is sold in the stadium allowing those people to continue to get oiled during the game. I'm not personally worried because I know where I'm parking and sitting, but between the drunkenness and the Wisconsin fans' desire to "take over" a visiting stadium like the Iowa fans did, expect a very different atmosphere than what we see on a normal Saturday.

I tried to articulate that to the athletic department when I complained that NIU fans should have the top of the Waldron deck exclusively, and I was pretty much told to lighten up. Hopefully, there won't be any women pissing on my car in front of my kids like the Iowa b*#ch did our years ago.

Does anyone know if small hand held cameras are allowed in the game. I went to a Bears game last year and had to go back to my car to drop off my camera because they would not let me bring it in. Are those rules set by the venue or the team? Thanks.

Well there should be around half the Badger fans this year than Iowa fans in 07 so that should help.

Also you have to figure a good bunch of them will just be driving in that morning and wont have morning cocktails at the hotel before tailgating.

The more I hear about the 07 fan experience the less I feel bad about missing next years Iowa game!

BLACK. If you wear red, you'll blend right in with Wisconsin fans. I can guarantee you that their fans will be wearing red.

Wrong, they will be blending in with our fans. Plus I don't want to be wearing Black during the afternoon sun.
