Wisconsin opening line
16 point differential. Every time I think lines are whacky they end up making sense. After what we saw vs Kansas I expected this to open in the lower 20's. Do you think the line will move up sharply, that seems too low for where these teams are at.

Eh, it opened at -14 apparently and the sharps hit it all the way up two points. I suspect it will flutter around 14 come gameday.

I would take Wisconsin no problem with that spread.

I would have guessed 19-20. On the other hand, if Wisky got a big lead they'd pull the starters and we have the ability to score a few and close the gap.

RE: Wisconsin opening line
given how KU ran thru, around and over the NIU D, and how the Badgers pummeled Oregon State, I mighta guessed a line above 21.

I think this is going to be another Kansas scenario, the last team with the ball is going to win. The offense is a solid group and with Doeren's knowledge they should be able to adapt quickly to the Wisc defense.

The best thing the defense can do is hold up the Wisc offense for a few minutes, and quite frankly after Kansas, I don't expect more than the defense allowing the offense to get a fresh cup of Gatorade and then head back on the field.

I can't imagine that. Wisconsin is twice as good (at least) as Kansas in everything they do.

Im really surprised the line is that low even, I completely expected lower to mid 20s given the circumstances.

NIU is going to get its ass kicked by Wisconsin. Toledo is going to get its ass kicked by Boise State.

All that matters is whether Toledo gets its ass kicked by NIU or vice versa, and how the rest of the MAC schedule plays out.

And college football will never be played at Soldier Field.

Lots of ass kicking going on! Can I get in line? The last time I thought someone was going to kick my ass, they stopped in mid air and said that they had too much respect for their shoes.

Talking to a Wiscy fan yesterday. He thinks their offense is real good and most teams won't be able to stop them. But he also said a passing offense will do pretty well aganst their D. UNLV scored on them fairly easily he said.

On another point... They aren't going to the game because they have tickets against Nebraska and didn't want to spend so much for both games. Nebraska at home beats NIU at Soldier Field.

Well, in WD's defense, he was right about us going to Boise....4 yrs later.

Yeah that Nebraska game is a pretty huge detractor from our attendance I think. Wisconsin fans are going all out for that one, that should be one heck of a gameday atmosphere for that primetime game. Assuming of course they do not get upset by NIU!
