Yeah....I hope he gets rid of that thinking. Certain opponents need as much as we can give them....Memphis St is one of them.

Also....not bad for a 1st FBS win.

Exactly why Memphis fans irritate me so much. If a Sun Belt team gets the chance they should always run the score up on Memphis. They need a big ol' glass of humbleness. I think the problem is they think their football is equivalent to their basketball program.

At least one Tigers Fan "gets" it. From the comments section in the Commercial Appeal.

I rode to the game with some neighbors that were ASU alums. Bad move. I have never been to Jonesboro before. I thought all of Arkansas was like West Memphis or Forrest City. I was shocked as we cam into Jonesboro I was not expecting what I saw. They were gracious hosts and proud to show me the improvements in their school and the college town. We went up this one commercial corridor (stadium drive?) with new development for a couple miles with new restaurants and a really nice new mall. As we drove towards ASU it was hard to not to feel a lump in my throat about how nice and clean the town and ASU are. We dropped off our tailgating stuff with other tiger fans and then my friend took me on a tour of Jonesboro. Downtown Jonesboro is way better than I dreamed. Multiple nice independent restaurants and clubs that would do well in Memphis. Very cool and stylish downtown. We ate at a place "brickhouse" that was very impressive with a roof top patio that had fountains and flat screen TV's. We went out to a few residential areas and it hurt to see how nice much of Jonesboro is.

We came back to the tailgate after a day of impressive sites to a bunch of fellow Tigers that were bad mouthing Arkansas and ASU. It hit me, this is what is wrong with our fan base.
Face it, the City of Memphis and our Tigers are going downhill. We are still holding on to an outdated and negative view of ASU and JOnesboro, while also thinking WAY TOO highly of our city and school. We have to make a cultural change.

I'm gonna have to go fly fish the White River and stop in Jonesboro for our game one year.

Yeah, their fans were the same way with us...I think we lost by a few points and hadn't been 1A very long.
