RE: Week #2 - Three Wins For The belt ?
I think we're going to be pleasently surprised by this week's results.

WKU should give Navy a good test at home.
UL should beat Kent St. if they plan to contend this year.
ASU and ULM should roll their opponents (it's time to feel good about youselves).
FIU can make a statement against the Cardinals if they play within themsleves.
UNT needs to play keep-away from Houston, same for Middle. Get in thier heads and let the home crowd bring you home.

We've got a lot of nice HOME games here peep's. Let's defend the home field.

Go Sun Belt.

I have a very good feeling about this weekend's game vs. GaTech. I may be wrong and we get blown out, but a gut feeling tells me win win on our Centennial.

I was really impressed with WKU run defense. Even if Kentucky is terrible, they still have SEC calliber OLinemen and SEC calliber running backs.

If WKU can shut down Kentucky's run, then i think they have a chance with Navy- as long as they play ASSIGNMENT FOOTBALL!

WKU offense just needs to figure out how to put a couple points on the board!

I'm no more anti-religious than you are anti-agnostic, what I am anti is having other peoples beliefs crammed down my throat. You're always the one who brings religion into threads where it has no place. I get that your religion is a big part of your everyday life, but its not even a small part of mine, and I'm perfectly fine with that. So you keep your religion to yourself and out of football threads and I'll keep my religious cynicism to myself. Keep your notions of prayers for humility and lessons being taught through football games to yourself and we won't have this problem. You have your beliefs and I have mine, can't we just leave it at that?

I have friends who are agnostic. During my second year at Adams State College, one of my roommates was agnostic and the other was atheist. They didn't get along with each other, but both told me that I was the best roommate either had ever had. Mormons are accepting because we believe in everyone's right to choose their faith, but we denounce persecution against our faith by other faiths. Did you know that people of other faiths have notoriously dressed up and posed as LDS missionaries to spread lies and anti-LDS propaganda to people? They are intentionally harassing too while claiming to be LDS. There's something in the scriptures about "not bearing false witness" and yet many so-called "Christian" denominations are guilty of just that against the LDS Church.

PiKapp, I will say this. I will never leave the LDS Church because of something you post to me in these forums. Nothing you or anyone else says will ever change my mind, so you are just wasting your time.

Might I suggest you stick to talking football, and steer clear of my religion. I know you are a theater/arts type of boy, but even as girly as that trade is, you would have a better grasp on athletics and sport than you would religious ideologies. Perhaps you would best serve others by sticking to the original intent of this thread. Have a pleasant day!

Moderators! Can we please remove all the religous talk out of this thread? (and while your at it, take this one down too!)

It is killing a good "make you forget about the pounding you took a few days ago" thread!

This has been one of the better threads on this board recently and it is being ruined and probably going to be shutdown/deleted ...

We may not win every game against the MAC- (its why you play the game) examples: TROY vs NIU- lost to them in our first bowl game in a rainy Sillicon Valley Bowl; TROY vs BG- won one, lost one; TROY vs #25CMU- lost in overtime and they blocked a field goal to win- but we should be to the point that WE, the SBC should be in the "PROBABLE WINS" category everytime we play a MAC team.

I disagree. It depends on what you are comparing to what. The lower-rung Sun Belt schools would likely lose to your Northern Illinois, Toledo, and Miami of Ohio. Likewise, your lower-rung MAC schools would likely lose to your Troy or FIU. I'm sure UL-Lafayette expects to beat Kent, but Kent should have every right to believe the same concerning UL-Lafayette. Both are traditionally close to the bottom of their conference standings almost every single season. Neither truly has any standing over the other.

I don't judge you for your beliefs, I judge you for your double standard. In your world its perfectly acceptable for you to tell me I'm wrong for not believing in the Christian God, but when I tell you to stop talking about God and prayer etc. in football threads you neg rep me for saying I don't believe in the same God you do. Why is it okay for you to attack my beliefs and shove your own in my face and then as soon as I say God is a superstition I'm persecuting you...? You telling me that God still loves me and that I'll never learn the lesson you prayed for me to learn is not only arrogant, its insulting. Don't you see you're doing the same thing you're accusing me of? Why is it okay for you to tell me what I believe is wrong but I can't do the same to not?

It's laughable that you think I'm trying to challenge your faith, or get you to leave the church. You attack my beliefs regularly and I stand us for what I believe, not everything has to do with you Scotty. And my "girlie trade" has nothing to do with religion or sport and I'll thank you to not call me girlie based on my line of work.

Again I would prefer to never talk about religion on this board, but you bring it up constantly. It has no place here take your prayers and scriptures elsewhere because I don't want to hear it anymore than you want to hear me say that the Christian God is a fabrication.

My apologies for the last reply but I started it before this post. I've tried to end the discussion a few times and said let's leave this out of football threads, but to no avail.

This may be true, but the records are almost equivalent year-in and year-out with the exception of a couple. Kent has had six seasons of 5+ wins since 2001, but no more than six wins. UL-Lafayette has had six seasons with 6 wins, but no more than that. 3- and 4-win seasons were prevalent in most of the other years for the Cajuns. I just believe Kent and UL-Lafayette are even.

You obviously don't give two cents about what your fellow conference fans want out of this thread. Will you do yourself a favor and shut it for once, man! You're looking like a goon who has nothing better to do with his time except to spread religious hate and intolerance. Don't you have Memphis to worry about? Come the end of the weekend, you might want to wish you concentrated more on that team.

How exactly will his "lack of focus on his team" have any effect on the outcome of the game?

Navy @ WKU

Georgia Tech @ MT

Troy has a bi-week.

I agree with you with ULL probably being a chance for an upset.
