Season Tickets?
So how many season tickets have your teams sold so far?

I know Louisiana has sold nearly 20% more than last years total, bringing this years total to nearly 10K to date. We should top the 10K mark prior to the first home game.

I'm sure NT and FAU will have impressive season ticket sales with their new stadia.

I would hope so, but we have not even started the corporate season ticket push yet. That is suppose to start later this week I believe, those are normally good for a couple thousand.

Don't know the number, but coach Mac said in an interview that ticket sales were up 70% over last year.

I find that hard to believe unless you guys didn't sell jack spit last year.

But you guys did sell your suites, and who knows how many seats that they count for.

Haven't heard a number from Arkansas State but they said a few weeks ago that season ticket revenue this year had passed the total season ticket and walk-up ticket revenue from last year by July 1.

Hopefully as a conference we can all surpass the 10K season ticket mark.

I believe USA, stAte, UNT, Louisiana, Troy(maybe), and FAU can do that this year.

I beleive that there just under 3,000 season tickets sold last year. UNT has always been a walk-up and buy on game day. Hopefully that will soon be a thing of the past.

Yea, the UNT - UL game last year had some sparse attendance. Good thing about new stadiums is that it also makes the opposing team's fans more interested in traveling in to watch. I definitely plan on making the next trip.

I didn't realize it was that low, then 70% is believable.

RE: Season Tickets?
They haven't released a number yet, but the AD at USA stated that this year's pace is ahead of last year's when 8500 were sold. 10,000 might be a stretch, but it could be close. So far each year has outpaced the previous, so if not this year then next year's big-boys schedule should do it.

For some reason that's top secret information at MT. All we usually hear is that "sales are ahead of last year at this time".

RE: Season Tickets?
stAte has sold 6,372 through Monday, per the Jonesboro Sun this morning.

still have a couple weeks to go, but already ahead of last year's total of 6180 - but the significant thing is they have done it with a price increase.

2011 ticket revenue is $462,520 so far - which blows away the 2007 record of $345,128, and is a 45% increase over last year's ticket revenue.

Enthusiasm is at an all time high in Jonesboro . . . Freeze sure needs to come through this year with the favorable home schedule.

FAU is doing the same thing. Keeping it close to the vest. They released some VERY preliminary numbers back in March and havent said anything since then.

RE: Season Tickets?
Does anyone actually hear about season ticket sales declining or being terrible.

"yeah, we sold about 350 season tickets - mostly to players parents and the local chicken processing plant".

They're always doing well ahead of last years pace. Always. Don't expect to hear anything else.

Not really, the Cajuns season ticket sales prior to this season had been in decline since 2007 or stagnate. People were tired of watching Bustle get out coached in the 2nd half and after 9 years he couldn't get a program to a bowl game. He brought the program back from nothing to mediocre, but with the increase in wins come higher expectations and he couldn't match them. Lack of ticket sales have got 2 coaches fired at UL for sure, Robert Lee and Jerry Baldwin. So people may downplay the importance of attendance and season tickets, but when that money doesn't come in because the fans turn on a coach the administration takes notice.

Oh, I think we all know when and where season tickets sales are going poorly.

My point was that if you're getting your information from the ticket office or the AD or whereever, you're never going to get anything but sunshine pumped up you know where.

Interesting. I mean I know you guys are coming off a bowl game, but 10,000 is a huge, huge accomplishment.

I know it came from the AD, but something sounds off about that.

FIU is not selling single game tickets. I would say 30%-40% of that number is UCF fans buying GA season tickets in order to attend the FIU vs. UCF game in Miami.
