We wil make sure they have time to scrimmage MTU too, since Troy keeps ***** slapping you every season!03-nutkick

Maybe you guys should see if you could borrow Troy's jerseys for our game this year, that's probably your best shot at avoiding a third straight loss...

We will see how MTU looks now that they are #3 in the SBC.

Number three by what metric? After one above average season from FIU? We've seen this before, we're not going anywhere, we still have the most conference wins of any school and the second most since Troy joined and that won't change this year.

No one is harping on what you've done in the past except MT fans. Potential athletes are looking at what you've done last season and what you will do this season as they take unofficial and official visits. As of last season, you are know #3 in the conference and possibly moving down.

What? You mean ULL brought more fans with them on a 2 hour trip in season than Troy did on a 6 hour trip for a bowl game in December? No freakin way. What an incredible feat, that easily trumps Troy's success on the field.

I'm excited to hear about these games, and hopefully a true Wave-Cajun rivalry will come out of this.

Totally agree. Easy away game for both fan bases. Great tailgating in Lafayette, and lots of Cajun alumni in New Orleans. Win-win for both programs.

We're not going anywhere, thanks for your concern/wishful thinking...

No, an incredible feat would be having a student population of close to 30,000 students and still sucking in attendance!03-zzz

(08-16-2011 02:26 PM)CajunT Wrote:  The University of Louisiana and Tulane University today announced an agreement to renew their football rivalry which has been dormant for the last decade.
The two teams will meet at Cajun Field on October 6, 2012, with the Cajuns slated to return the trip to the Louisiana Superdome on October 8, 2016.

“When we came to UL, one of our first priorities was to establish a dialogue with Tulane in hopes of getting a football series worked out,” Interim Director of Athletics Scott Farmer said in making the announcement. “Because of scheduling commitments, it’s taken a while, but we’re excited that the two teams have re-established a football relationship.”

Tulane and Louisiana last met on the gridiron in the 2000 season when the Green Wave escaped with a 38-37 win at Cajun Field.

That's good news and it's nice to see that rivalry renewed. South Alabama plays the Green Wave at the SuperDome September 7, 2013, then not again until Sept. 28, 2019 at the Dome. Tulane visits Mobile on October 10, 2020, hopefully in a stadium on campus.
