Hard to disagree with alot of that. There's as much depth and talent as there has been in any of Stockstill's years, but so much of it is so young.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us shock a team we shouldn't beat, and then boot one to a team that we should. That's how it goes with young teams like this.

What bothers me is this line "beating Memphis isn't a crazy thought".

No it's not a crazy thought because we'll be favored....03-banghead

yeah, that made me think for a minute I was wasting my time with a bleacher report article...overall though, a surprisingly decent preview...

Notice our turnover margin vs opponents...03-banghead Is it any wonder we went 6-7 last year? I have to think this is an improvement.

That's the part that made me do a double take, I really forgot how bad that was last year... If we can control the turnovers it seems like we can keep these games a bit closer.

Agreed. We should be better this year if the other positions are ok.

I think it will also help that deficit in T.O.P. as well...

RE: CFN MT Preview
We lost three games by a touchdown or less last season Memphis, Minnesota, and North Texas. Those three could have easily been wins if not for all the turnovers. We could have been 9-4 last season.

We should have beaten Memphis and North Texas at least.

If we can just get Kilgore to understand that a sack is usually better than a turnover...him and the RB's.

We should have beaten Minnesotta as well. Not one of those three teams played well last year. UNT makes a little sense because we play them every year but the others were bad losses imo.

The team that we lined up against Minnesota had no answer for Minnesota's running game.

With the 2009 Dwight Dasher, we beat that Minnesota team by three touchdowns. We would have scored more and kept their running game off the field for longer periods of time and kept them from establishing a rhythm.

RE: CFN MT Preview
I remember we stopped the Bama run one year (relatively speaking). I guess these Big 10 teams have a lot of size on the line. I hope we've improved in that area. We seemed to have gotten smaller on the line since you know who left and Stock took over.
