RE: SBC Football Scheduling News
I figured it was because that would be the year the WAC would finally fold, and we'd be adding several teams to the league

Clearly, you haven't seen the WAC Expansion Plan:

I saw it in the back of an American Way magazine.

RE: SBC Football Scheduling News
Just to remind everyone, the SBC adopted a 9 game schedule starting in 2015, so everyone will play everyone at that point. But for the first three years of USA entering the SBC, the 8 game conference schedule will not change. So for 2012 USA doesn't play WKU, in 2013 USA doesn't play UNT, and in 2014 USA doesn't play FIU. After 2014 everyone plays everyone.

Hopefully by 2014 we'll be in divisions. 03-yes

It was worth repeating. The MTSU fans are sometimes slow to pick up on things.

I didn't say much on it earlier, but I am very excited that South is finally playing a conference schedule. My Dad went to South for med school, and both of my sisters and I were all born in Mobile. When the news came out several years ago, Dad and I decided we'd go to every game, Troy and Mobile.

I think that new "house divided" flags should be made with Troy and South. My brother and I both went to South, but I have many friends and relatives that went to Troy. I have a feeling that is case with many families in the state, and that is really going to help the "rivalry".

Yeah, the only FCS/FBS schools in the state that my family has no affiliation with are Jax State and Auburn. Sisters/cousins went to Alabama, Dad/Aunt went to UAB, Dad to South, and I went to Troy. What was so funny last year was Dad going to the UAB game with us, wearing his Troy hat, and he made some comment about he was here to support one of his teams, despite the degrees on his wall from the other team.
