Wow! You finally get a OCS and you start dissing others that have had a OCS for years, claiming it is the worst because it has "nothing special about it"? What do you suggest we do, add a ferris wheel above the field house?

So what is unique about FAU's yet to be completed stadium? Besides the FAU logo?

Besides the logo, the fact that the stadium has ocean views are pretty unique. Every seat will have a chair-back, which is rare in most college stadiums. Also, it'll have the most (and only, I'm guessing) palm trees within view of the playing field of any other stadium.

As for FIU's place, it certainly is not in the discussion for worst in the country.

The only problem with it is that it isn't finished. Closing the open sideline would go a long way toward improving the look of the place. Is there any talk of finishing construction?

I think the every seat with a chair back is a huge plus for the casual fan....when you are just going to "watch some live college football" as a casual new fan might be......you might not really want to get shoulder to shoulder with 12 guys painted blue or green or whatever especially if it means you have about no place to sit

I know many would prefer the loud screaming active fan, but for those that might not have a connection to the university, those that have been out of a university for 20+ years, and for those that might just want a different form of entertainment....getting in there with the mobs is not always preferable to sitting home watching on TV

kind of like with a lot of pro baseball parks.....part of the appeal to a mid season day game is you can come off like a "good fan" for being there mid week in the afternoon, but at the same time you can usually in most parks get a couple of seats with just you and friends and spread out and enjoy the game instead of cramming in next to people on a bench seat or having to lean back on a bench if you have the room to lean back

smart move IMO

Never have liked tracks around DIA football stadium. It just makes them look cheap.

The perception isn't as bad as the reality. The sideline seats are designed so the furthest seats aren't as far as many other stadiums. There are just no really-close seats with the track. The concourses are raised and better than many MAC stadiums. The end-zone bleachers were built for a few Mil when the NCAA made us have at least 30K, so they are bare-bones. Some end-zone seats will go bye-bye when we start building our fieldhouse, and since we already have another track on campus we hope they rip up the track, tear down the metal stands, and build a real horseshoe in the future.

Yeah, we stunk until Gill got here so there was never any fan excitement when MU was tearing us new ones. Once we started winning crowds have improved, and we brought 30K to our bowl in Toronto (if only they'd all come to regular home games).

Anyone's listing can't omit EMU's stadium, the Kibbie Dome, or Spartan Stadium

You can sugar coat a turd all you want, it's still just a turd. The stadium and eminaties suck at UB Stadium. There are 30-40 IAA stadiums better than not only UB Stadium but 3/4 of the MAC.

UB not only sucked, they were a doormat. UB was 10-69 the 1st 7 years in IA. Being outscored 2704-1210.

While T Gill put a band aid on the program he didn't stop the bleeding. Gill left UB with a losing record, he was 20-30 in his 4 years there and only had 1 winning season. An 8-6 record in 2008. He also went 2-10, 5-7 and 5-7. Why Kansas hired Gill is beyond me. He hadn't proved anything at all.

I'll give you the other two but the Kibbie Dome still stinks.

Did I say it was great? No. And you are highly exagerating the great FCS stadiums. Any stadium that is basically 2 lean-toos with facilities under them is cheap.

I'll give you App State's, though. That facility is non-AQ FBS quality today. But does that stadium stink too, just because it has a track? Or Boise State's? Or Washington's? Or Mizzu's partial track?

And, do you think I don't know how bad UB was? I suffered through it, and know all those numbers. We have tough academic standards, being an AAU member (the only public one playing FBS football who is not an AQ), had an AD who didn't know anything about FBS football who hired a bad coach in Hofher. Many things he did during his tenure hurt Gill's run or Gill would have had more wins (not Red-Shirting Drew Willy, starting players' careers at the wrong positions). Two things are for sure; Those old UB teams wouldn't have swept UTEP H/H, or played UCF tight H/H.

I haven't been to Kidd Brewer stadium (Appy State) since 1996 and at that time the stadium was less than steller. Their bathrooms were pot-o-poties and they ran out of food at the end of the 1st quarter.

This is what it looked like in 1996:

Not the most attractive stadium.

You would also have to give me Montana, Montana State, 3/4 the CAA. Just because they might be smaller stadiums doesn't mean they aren't better.

Also this has nothing to do with the "Who" and their drunkard coaches and their inept AD. I was strictly talking about UB Stadium and it being possibly the worst in IA and most likely middle of the pack if it was a IAA stdium.

Lockhart by far

LA Tech's stadium is a joke...its not the worst, because if it wasnt for the 7K unused seats, it wouldnt be the worst stadium in the country...just small.

My 2nd worst not named Lockhart. The Kibble Dome

Brewer has been upgrated to a much better quality with all their recent investments. UM and MSU are mentioned for WAC invites because of their quality stadiums, for sure, but "3/4 of the CAA", on par or better than the MAC stadiums? I went to many of them when UB was FCS and others since, and UD, ODU, JMU, and formerly UMass are the only ones with FBS qualities (GSU will as well when they join). Smaller ones usually have fewer perks, worse lighting, videoboards, sound, unimpressive concourses, few to no luxury suits, paultry player and coach facilities, etc.

The majority of your first post concerned how horrible our attendance was, and I explained the story of why it was so and what changed. What did that have to do with stadium quality?
