MT hoops class among best in Belt
And does not include Iowa State transfer LeRon Dendy and Okie State transfer Torin Walker, both eligible this season.

MT is one of three Sun Belt Conference men’s basketball teams ranked among the top 40 Division I recruiting classes by various scouting services.
MT’s incoming class has been ranked as high as 19th nationally this offseason by HoopScoopOnline.com and currently ranks 27th. Fellow Sun Belt squads North Texas and Western Kentucky have also received high recruiting ranks, including multiple players listed in Rivals top 150 player

RE: MT hoops class among best in Belt
ASU fans are somewhat hesitant to be confident about next year's team.
Two of our top newcomers (a 6'11" LSU transfer and a good guard from Alabama) won't be on the team as both are academically ineligible. One didn't meet his progress and the other didn't get his ACT.
We return pretty most of our starters, but lose our PG.
1. Adams, Martavius F 6-8 255 Sr. Irwinton, GA (Oklahoma State)
2. Branch, Kinley F 6-6 205 So. Stone Mountain, Ga. (Stone Mountain HS)
3. Finn, Trey G 6-2 205 Jr. Little Rock, AR (Parkview HS)
4. Kirkland, Malcoln F 6-8 230 Sr. Jackson, Miss. (Oklahoma State)
5. Peterson, Brandon F 6-7 205 Jr. Birmingham, Ala. (Erwin HS)
6. Sterrenberg, Adam G 6-3 175 Jr. Cabot, Ark. (Cabot HS)
7. Townsel, Edward G 6-0 170 So. Starkville, Miss. (Starkville)
New Signees:
+8. Darious Griswold (December) (FR)
+9. Marcus Hooten (JR) (#95 SG in the country, #38 JUCO player)
+10. Johnnie Zuppardo (FR) (Team won the 6A Alabama title)
+11. Rakeem Dickerson (FR) (Arkansas product)
+12. Bryce Clark (JR) (Former Houston player)
Miscellaneous:
+13. Kendrick Washington (JR) (Houston transfer, 2012-2013 player)
+14. Jordan Weaver (Walk-On)
Hopefully we will have one or two more surprises when camp starts up.

How many SBC teams have an Okie State transfer ? How in the hades does OSU maintain APR ? Guess they're all leaving in good standing.

No clue. We have two. Both four-stars out of high school.

Ours was 4-star, as well (at one point, anyhow). Tough to believe.
Recruiting rankings are highly unreliable and unpredictable.

Roger Franklin - 4-star (xfer from Oklahoma State)
http://rivals.yahoo.com/basketballrecrui...NTlX_SO5B4
Tony Mitchell - 4-star (xfer from Missouri)
http://rivals.yahoo.com/basketballrecrui...zED8rSO5B4
Actually Tony Mitchell is a lot different than getting a player who was highly recruited out of high school and basically not a significant factor at his first college and then transferred out, like Franklin and most of the other transfers mentioned. Mitchell was the 12th rated player in the country and has never played college ball became of attending a non-accredited prep school. He is also a rival 5 star not 4.
With him included in NT's class, I don't think there are many that wouldn't rate that class the best in the Belt.
