Apparently Coach McCarney means business.

DENTON, Texas- North Texas junior wide receiver Darius Carey was dismissed from the football team, head coach Dan McCarney announced.

"Darius did not live up to the standards and expectations that we have set for this football program," said coach McCarney. "We wish him well in all of his future endeavors."

Carey was the leading receiver for North Texas last season with 38 receptions, 524 yards, and five touchdowns. As a freshman in 2009, he had 57 catches for 509 yards with four touchdowns.
