Best States for Business 2011
The South generally did rather well with infrastructure to the contrary of what some have said here. They also do pretty well in innovation, healthcare, and finance with the top 4 having RTP, Charlotte, Atlanta, Austin, Cary, Dallas, Houston, etc. All very military friendly states also.

If we want our economy to get back to where it once was, we as a country need to be number one on the equivalent list for nations. We aren't, and we're not headed that direction.

When it comes to many of those New England states, they rank near the bottom for 'Cost of Business', 'Cost of Living', and 'Business Friendliness', but near the top for 'Quality of Life' and 'Education' (it's universities-galore around there).

NY and NJ are tops in "education"?

Pfft. 03-lol

I dunno. I'd like to see more of the data, not just final results.

They do have Columbia, NYU, Seton Hall, Princeton, Cornell, RIT, etc in between them.

I wonder how much weather is taken into account? I mean it is damn hard to run a beer garden in MN for 8 months of the year.

Yeah, but these results included K-12 as well.
