Looks like a good pick up. Like when we beat out other MAC schools for a player. Funny the offer list on both sights. He also had 7 offers by June 8th.

Not sure on a position for him. Looks like another "athlete" that Doeren has recruited, but a decent pick up.
Our verbal thread appears to be way behind at this point. Can someone please update?

And the game was played on Ford Field!
can't wait to see him
If anyone is interested in seeing Church here is the website with the full Championship Game video http://www.mhsaa.tv/events/25630. If you want to see his td's he scores on their 1st drive and right before half....I believe his last td was in the 4th qtr.

Would love to see Maxwell at strong side or Mike linebacker. Finally a big dude who can run at backer.

Backer? He's listed as a TE, man do we need one of those. An athletic one would be awesome!
The next Antonio Gates? (To use a MAC athlete example).

Antonio Gates is 6'6" at least. He is listed as 6'2".

Doeren has hit the Chicago Public League hard. Good athletes, versatile. Love recruits like this, you never know where they will play. He could be FB,TE,LB or DT. Position will be dependent on how he develops physically.

What I like is he had an offer from Air Force. Means he is a decent student.

Bishop Miege is Doeren's Alma Mater. First team all state Kansas One of the faster guys at camps this past summer according to Rivals.
Dad is Bernie Parmalee, former pro football player.

RE: 2012 Verbal Thread
So how is this class looking with this new information? Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I'm somewhat unimpressed with the "paper resume" of most of these guys. Quite a few are 2-star guys who've barely had a look, let alone an offer from other D-1 schools. Are we just getting bodies and losing out to many other guys with MAC and lower level BCS offers? I know there's a long way to go, but as far as overall talent, this class doesn't seem on par with last year so far.

Desroy Maxwell
BCS programs showing interest included: Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa State (the real ISU), and Colorado.
"It's the best possible choice for me and my family, and really it was a pretty easy decision," Maxwell said. "I definitely want to play for a winning team, especially since I didn't do that in high school. I also like the engineering program at NIU and I know I will get a good education."
He was offered by Illinois State Normal Teachers College, too bad the "Harvard of the Midwest FCS schools" doesn't have an engineering program.

I am glad he is hitting the Public League. There is a lot of raw talent there and one recruiting area that we haven't landed a lot of guys from over the last few years. Novak seemed to have pretty good connections there but Kill not so much. We definitely need to rebuild the recruiting pipeline to Chicago. Lots of athletes there.
