JONESBORO (6/25/11) - The Arkansas State Department of Athletics has announced that KAIT, the ABC affiliate in Jonesboro, Ark. will air the televised broadcast of the Red Wolves' Sept. 24 home football game against the University of Central Arkansas.

KAIT is the first announced affiliate for the broadcast being sponsored by Centennial Bank and originating from KATV, the ABC affiliate in Little Rock. The actual broadcast has been tabbed as the "Centennial Shootout" and will include a pre-game show prior to the 7:00 p.m. kickoff.

"All of us at KAIT are so very excited to provide live coverage of Red Wolves Football to the folks of Region 8," said KAIT Vice President and General Manager Tim Ingram. "I hope this partnership between ASU, KAIT and KATV to showcase this game is something that we can see on a regular basis. Dean Lee and the entire Red Wolves athletic staff have gone above and beyond to make this partnership happen, and we are very proud to play our part in the coverage."

"We are excited that our hometown television station has decided to take part in this broadcast, and I think this is another way they are showing their commitment to Arkansas State University and the community," said ASU Director of Athletics Dr. Dean Lee. "We're confident this game will draw a large crowd, but this will give us another way to showcase ASU in front of those unable to make it to the stadium."

One year after setting the school record for televised football games, A-State already has four games set for television in 2011. In addition to the UCA game, the Red Wolves' season opener at Illinois, Sept. 17 game at Virginia Tech and Oct. 18 home game against Florida International will be televised.

Season tickets for the Red Wolves' 2011 campaign, which includes six home games, are on sale and can be ordered by contacting the ASU Box Office at 870-972-ASU1 or 1-888-ASU-FANS or by visiting AStateRedWolves.com. For more information, contact the ASU Marketing Department at 870-972-3880.
