they lost 41-21 to Hawaii @ Hawaii and Hawaii was pretty stout last year, but it was on the road to a tough place to travel to, at the end of a pretty tough stretch of games
they lost to Nevada 35-17, but that was the end of the season and Nevada was playing great....Nevada could be good again this year, but they lost some talent
you are correct LaTech could lose all 3 of those, but they could steal 2 as well
also it is not like Ole' Miss is a world beater....Ole. Miss will be coming off a pretty tough stretch of games and if LaTech is looking a bowling at all they could get the win.....I like Nutt in some ways, but his teams will let down if nothing big left to go after
It's going to be an exciting season because I only see 1 team that would beat us 9/10 times (Miss St).
Ole Miss is down, but they have more talent than us across the board and should beat us at home.
Southern Miss, Fresno, and Nevada could go either way, but all 3 are on the road so that makes it tougher on us.
We have Houston at home, but they are probably better than USM, Fresno, and Nevada... so that's going to be a tough game.
It is just as tough for Hawaii to come play in Ruston as it is for us to go there and win. We've beaten them 2 out of the last 3 in Ruston. Their best team ever (Colt Brennan's BCS team) only beat us by 1 point in OT and we blew them out in the other 2 games. So I'm putting Hawaii down as a W.
I think we are better than UCA, NM State, Idaho, San Jose St, and Utah St so we can't afford to slip up to one of those teams.
If we are going to win 7, I think Fresno or Southern Miss will be that win. Houston probably has too much offense for us to keep up, and we never play well at Nevada.
