Tongue in cheek or not, I don't really see how this is a bad idea.

Maybe we can just invade Mexico and make it the 51st state? We invade countries for oil and Mexico has oil so why not? Besides, it would make it easier to deal with the illegal Mexican immigration iissue.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, has surrendered, 3,500 acres in southern Arizona. It has now been closed to U.S. citizens because of the dangers posed in that area from Mexican drug smugglers. The area includes part of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge.

Obabba leads from behind.

Once again, you are full of **** with your continual ODS!
It was closed in October 2006

In your mind, that it was closed under another Prez make the situation better.

Obabba could step the f'uck up and lead.

Americans are increasingly outgunned by the Narco-state cartels. They are using IED's and terrorist tactics. But to you, it's throw your hands us and say, What's a brother to do?

Okay...then I ask you yet again. What should he do to solve this problem that nobody else has been able to solve for the better part of a decade?

I'll go out on a limb and predict that you probably wouldn't like anything he tried anyway! 03-wink

How about
[1] ENFORCE THE LAW
[2]SECURE THE BORDER
[3] DEAL WITH THE PEOPLE WHO BROKE OUR LAWS

That's his f'ucking job, Boomerang.

Can you see that!!

RE: Mexico Drug War Spills Across US Border
1. Build the wall with federal funds. That would be a 1,954 mile long "shovel ready" construction job that would immediately produce at least 20,000 jobs (workers, suppliers, transport). Most Americans would approve of the wall being built on that southern border.
2. The wall should be at least 30 feet tall with both electronic and human guard surveillence. Have razor sharp spikes inserted about 5 feet below the top with razor wire above that. The wall should be thick enough to house guards/soliders, the Border patrol, ICE, and other agency representatives that would be assigned to work there. Build mega spotlights and 50 caliber machine gun nests on top of the wall. Be sure to have an ample arsenal within the enclosed rooms inside the wall. Build temporary lock up facilities to retain those caught illegally trying to enter. Build large doors that can be opened in an emergency to allow vehicles through (US to MX or MX to US).
3. Each of the governors of the 4 sw border states should authorize 50% of their national guard to man the wall in rotating shifts.
4. Post signs on the wall in English, Spanish, and other languages that warn of the consequences of attempting to illegally enter the United States.
5. If any foreign party attempts to enter illegally (climb over, tunnel under, etc.), capture them and put in prison. Drug mules, known criminals, and confirmed terrorists are incarcerated to the maximum sentence.
6. If any foreign party attempts to use violence or weapons on the guards, immediately hose them with the 50 caliber machine guns.

Yep...Spend billions of dollars putting up a fence. That makes sense to me. While we are at it...Dig a 100 ft deep/100 yard wide moat and put in Bull Sharks with laser beams on their heads.03-lmfao

It seems to have worked pretty well for China 2000 years ago and England 500 years ago and Bin Laden for most of this decade

Sometimes the simplest answer really IS the best... and it probably would have "saved or created" more jobs than the trillion+ in stimulus did.... especialy when you consider it would have the effect of reducing some of the illegal labor pool

Yes..The simplest answer is best.....End the welfare state handouts to non citizens and end the drug war in favor of controlled and regulated sales drug sales.... Problem solved. Billions of dollars are saved on financing a futile drug war...Billions saved on financing non citizens welfare..and even more billions added to the coffers of the treasury through taxation of controlled substances.
