Did Sonny really say this?????

"Playing this series makes a lot of sense for both programs," Dykes said. "It is smart for us to play teams in other parts of Louisiana. Mark Hudspeth will do good things with that program. South Louisiana is a big recruiting area for us and it is important for us to have a presence and play in Lafayette. We are looking forward to playing more regional teams and in games against traditional rivals."

WOW, I cant believe Davidson hasnt gotten on the "red phone" and ordered his dismissal???

Tech fans don't have a problem playing ULL. It's been a good rivalry. I think the key aspect of playing ULL is for recruiting purposes and Tulane refused to play us. (South Louisiana). I don't think a game with ULM is in the cards unless we join the Sun Belt.

Dykes and our AD wanted a game in South Louisiana for two reasons. One is the exposure to the recruits and the other to play near some of our alumni.

Tulane's HC was all for a series, but the administration would not agree. That left LSU and ULL. Most Tech fans liked playing ULL (USL in my days) and have no problem with this scenario. A extremely vocal minority are not pleased with this series.

The nerve of Tulane! After all you did for them during Katrina and continually d*ck you guys.... shame.....

3rd reason... to help cut down on ridiculous travel costs. Plus your teams not named football were/are neglected as hell. Your guy coming to his senses now gives Tech basketball, baseball, et al a little room to breathe by playing us again. I know Sim was overjoyed about having his series with UL shut down. LOL!!

Welcome back to the pack. You aint as great as you think you is.
