Ok, so we've got a covert war going there. How many wars does that make now? 4? 5?

That ought to seal the deal that WWII led us out of the Great Depression.

and some still think that our intervention in Libya and elsewhere in the Arab spring will result in more people being free in the Middle East. LOL

Evidence doesn't matter to these rubes, as long as the intent was right.

Is there an article about Yemen on there? The link takes me to an article on economics.

Not that I care much what it says in someone's blog.

I guess you didn't care enough about it to Google it once the link was redirected by Vox. I'm sure you'd have felt differently when Bush was in office.

BTW, where are all the war protesters now?

Oh, that's right, Obama is in office. ...which really begs the question, were the protests actually about the war? Or just because someone they disagreed with was in office?

It wasn't about war or they all just had to get back to their jobs.

No, I didn't care enough because I didn't know what was in the article or where it was from. Also, I thought maybe there was another link on the site that maybe I was supposed to go to once I got there, or maybe I missed it when scrolling up and down the page.

My attitude would have been no different if Bush was in office. Of course you have no idea about that, you just like to assume and make generalizations. How many of our soldiers (or airmen) have been killed or wounded so far in Libya and Yemen? The costs could be an issue though I'm sure they're dwarfed by Iraq and Afghanistan at this point. If you're talking about the protests for the Iraq war, I have no idea what they were actually about. You probably assume I was out there protesting.

And it doesn't beg the question, though it may prompt you to ask it.

JSOC is running Counter-Terrorist operations all over the place---from the Philippines, Indonesia, Pakistan, Arabian Peninsula, East Africa, Morocco, Nigeria, South America, etc.

The drone strikes in Yemen aren't "covert"--- The Congressional Intelligence Committees are briefed and the Yemeni 'government' knows about it. The Yemeni government is probably glad we are doing it. We are just using the intell we picked up at UBL's house to clean up some bad guys.
