I am a Christian, and I absolutely love this. The fundamentalists need to be silenced, as this was taken using stem cells from human skin, not fetal cells, which are considered the only stem cells used (which isn't true).
This is a wonderful, simple application for a common affliction.
I don't think anyone is against stem cell research. What people are against is harvest farms full of fetuses. Adult stem cells can, and are, used to do the same things.

Farming possible human life is disgusting.
The actual research using cells from willing, living human beings, is wonderful. Stem cell donorship would be interesting to see happen, but I don't know how flexible that is. Do the patients have to use their own stem cells to properly regenerate tissue, muscles, and tendons?

I know of *no* fundamentalist who opposes adult stem cell use, or cord stem cell use... Just embryonic stem cell use.

+1
Although there may be some uninformed ones who misstate their objections. The media is happy to spin it such that fundamentalists seem to be opposed to "stem cell research."
