MileHigh, NinerFan.. just because they make jokes at her expense does not mean she frustrates the liberal media or that they dislike her. If they disliked her nearly as much as you are implying, they wouldn't put her all over the television constantly. The liberal media loves Sarah Palin, she does their job for them, she's a walking soundbite. She is their darling as much as the far right's.
You really ought to check around more. I know that your statement is a typical liberal talking point. Try looking at how the media is covering this. The press treated her like shiite when she was picked by McLame as running mate. Now, she is tweaking them and ignoring them and the media can't stand it.
They are whining about it. Like this weird CBS whine that says that because she won't tell them where she is going next, they must follow her bus. It's dangerous, they complain. Well, if that is true that your youngsters are not good enough drivers to follow a bus, CBS just ought to pull the plug and not chase her.
What big scoop do they think that they are going to get?
Sarah Palin's bus tour treats reporters like paparazzi
This is so rich. CBS just identified/discovered the reason most folks don't watch the dinosaur network media like themselves any more. They and the other alphabet networks BECAME paparazzi by the way they cover news, entertainment and the merging of the two and the dumbing down of their news shows. Not to mention bias in their infotainment shows.
Quote:Palin's team isn't just ignoring the press; it's actively trying to misdirect reporters. Tuesday morning, for example, Palin's bus was running out in front of the hotel where she had stayed, prompting a gaggle of media to dutifully gather outside. Palin had already slipped out a side door early in the morning for a visit to the Gettysburg visitor center and battlefield.
Now, the media is sniping at each other due to their frustrations, on Twitter. They complain that SP is acting like a celebrity. HOW FUNNY! We never heard such an observation/allegation about their favored politician, the male diva Barack Obama. Or, if it was mouthed, it was done very quietly.
Palin's bus tour causes media bickering on Twitter
Even the NYT sort of gets it.
Palin dismisses the media, but they come back for more
Quote:GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Sarah Palin has apparently decided that she can treat the media any way she wants — and they will be there regardless.
And she might not be wrong.
Quote:When Ms. Palin tried to slip out the back of the hotel Monday evening to run a quick errand with her youngest daughter, she finally gave in to about three minutes of questions from reporters.
Do you want the press to be here, one reporter asked?
“Well, I think I don’t have a choice,” Ms. Palin said, laughing and adding a bit about not wanting to disrupt the lives of the regular people in the towns she visits.
But Ms. Palin clearly wants the media attention — she just wants it on her terms. Having felt burned by what she often calls the “lamestream” media, Ms. Palin is all too happy to pick the moments she will deal with journalists.
Quote:Do reporters who are trailing her feel used and manipulated?
“Ya think?” said one NBC producer who was among those who waited for hours on the lawn at Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home, when the bus tour stopped there, only to have Ms. Palin slip away from the tour without making an appearance.
It's driving the press nuts and while I'm not a big Palin fan, I have to say that this is hilarious.
Yeah right, HF84. The liberal press love Sarah. They love having the upper hand, from which they can slander her at will. Now, their frustrations are coming out because they can no longer control the narrative. Brilliant strategy by the SP team.
