My guess on the gaffes is he was just tired and spoke too quickly. He has a habit of not thinking before he speaks.

I did agree that some of the other points were valid but not #1 IMO.

I have no doubt that he's intelligent. It's just book intelligence and not experience gained though. His lack of real life experience gave him some sort of idealistic view of how the world should be and no concern over what would have to happen to get us there.

This is why I don't like presidents who have spent the great majority of their lives being groomed for the seat.
