The Denver Pioneers got into their first NCAA final four in lacrosse by destroying Johns Hopkins 14-9 before 13,000 on Long Island yesterday. Hopkins has been to 40 straight NCAA tourneys and won nine of them, one of the best programs in all of college sports. DU has been to 4 NCAA tourneys, and had won 1 NCAA game before yesterday.

DU is 14-2 this year, with wins over Duke and Hopkins.

60,000 tickets have been sold so far for the finals next week, held at M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens.

DU will face the U of Virginia on Saturday in the first semi-final and if they can beat the Cavs, would face either Maryland or Duke in the final. Semis are on ESPN2 next weekend

Nice! I have watched the finals of Lacrosse the last couple of years. It is a dynamite game!
