FB - Returning Starters
Last year wasn't a good year for the belt. I'm thinking we had a lot of young teams. Most of our teams have a lot returning next year. How many on your team are coming back?

Troy has 12 coming back, I think. Someone check me on that. I know we have eight on defense and "four" on offense, though many of our wide receivers have started games, and have ample game experience.

I think ASU has 15 back. 7 on offense and 8 on defense.

RE: FB - Returning Starters
According To Phil Steele:

4. ULM (18)
23. FIU (14)
32. WKU (15)*
48. ASU (13)
77. UNT (12)
80. Troy (12)
84. FAU (12)
107. MTSU (10)
115. Louisiana (10)

*the above only reflects off and def, where phil steele's list includes kickers, punters, etc, which is why FIU is ranked higher than WKU on phil's list.

Interesting. He probably isn't counting Tom Castilaw who was the starter at center until injured early. I count a 6th year Rimington award candidate as a starter. ASU lost MD Jennings, Javon McKinnon and Bryan Hall off the defense so that's 8 starters. We return our starting RB, QB, TE, 3 WRs and the aforementioned center.

That's 15.

I think I will be okay. It's "shocking" how highly he thinks of ASU's WRs thought. 05-stirthepot

You guys have a good crew, no doubt. But remember, Troy is usually always snuffed on these lists, because every year they "lose all their star players, however will they manage???" and then new players step up to the plate and take a lot of the league honors at the end of the year. Don't let Phil's (or Athlon's) lack of knowledge about our wide receivers deceive you. They will come to play. If they're not the best in the sunbelt, then they're a close second best.
