Seat selection is underway at the new Mean Green stadium. Here's Mean Green Fan's description of the process from gomeangreen.com. Gets your football juices flowing !
The process yesterday was very nice. An Athletic Dept official met you at the front door of the Athletic Center and walked you back to the team meeting room. There was a mini check in at the front where they gave you name tags. Once you proceeded to the team meeting room there were several more AD staff along with drinks and snacks. They had a blown up scale of the suite level on the board(s) of which you could get a good visual feel for it all. After a few minutes, they escorted you to one of the positional meeting rooms where you "officially" signed for your suite and selected your parking (suite parking is assigned so it was formality) off a map.
Following that process (took a whopping 5 minutes) we received a tour of the suite level, club level, and main concourse area in the stadium.
If anyone you know is on the fence or could be a potential ticket buyer; get them on a tour! It's incredible.
I've personally spent a lot of time in different sports venues across the country and this one is as nice or nice than any NCAA Stadium in the contry, and is quite honestly nicer than several professional venues as well.
Let me preface this by saying that truly there is not a bad seat from anywhere on the home side. If I had my choice of regular tickets or the Silver level club; it'd be a no brainer. Silver level Club all the way. I'm not sure the Club level is not the best part of the stadium, particularly with the space and the open air patios on each end for standing room.
This has been said before, but you can't go wrong. If you can justify the difference monetarily between the regular seats and the club level (which if you went on a tour, you would see what I am talking about); go with the club level.
Guys (and gals) this facility is second to none. It is truly unique in college football and in my opinion is the bar setter for ALL new stadiums or renovation projects going forward. We should be extremely proud of the hard work of so many teams and individuals who have made this happen.
As Coach Mac said, buy your tickets now. He's right; because after being inside that place, you're going to wish you had.
