FAU seat sales update...
Courtesy of Ted Hutton

Sentinel Blog on ticket sales.

Suites -- 2 of 20 sold, with commitments for 8 others. Price is $26,700 per year.

Loge -- Sold out -- 19 of 26 processed, commitments for remaining seats in hand. There is a chance 6 more could come on line. Price is $8,560.

Premium Club -- 236 of 746 (32 percent of goal). Price is $1,080.

Priority -- 626 of 3,038 (21 percent of goal). Price is $250.

Season tickets -- 235 of 7,680 (3 percent of goal). Price is $135.

I did correct him that Priority seats are actually $385.00 which is the cost of season tickets and the mandatory $250.00 Owl Club donation. FAU is just now starting there marketing campaign for the regular season tickets, so I expect that number to increase.

Im dissapointed more suites havent been sold, but surprised and happy the Loge seats have sold out.

Looks like they focused most of their effort thus far on the premium areas. Hopefully, now that the sales campaign has started, they'll sell a lot more "regular" seats.

When I ordered my priorty last month they did tell me that they were focusing almsot exclusively on on the high end seats at that time and that they would beging a marketing campaign for regluar season tickets soon.

Looks like that part is starting.

Im pretty happy with the way FAU has done the seats. Its been fairly orginized and they staffed it accordingly.

I'm very impressed with the Loge sales though, especially considering how early it is. That's a lot of "new" money coming in for your coffers that couldn't be done at Lockhart.

True. When you add up the revenue they have already collected or have committments for, from suite, loge, and premium club seats, it's a little more then $900K. I'm guessing that they never made much more then that from ticket sales in all the years at Lockhart combined.

We have to keep in mind though that our debt load has increased as well. Lots of this will not be profit and will go to servicing the stadium debt.

Now we will also recieve 100% of parking, concessions, etc and one sees how it will eventually be a good source of revenue for FAU.

Still good news though.

wow clearly they teach basic finance and economics at FAU (unlike at unT)......it seems FAU fans and supporters understand that a stadium has to be paid for not just built (again unlike unT)....it is nice to see fans that are positive AND realistic

sounds like you are well on your way to having a big increase in attendance and those are pretty good sales numbers

One thing that is good at MT is that our football, basketball, baseball, and soccer/track stadiums are paid for (in full). Hopefully we'll be announcing facility additions soon.

I look for an indoor practice facility/coaches' offices building first and eventually upgrades to Murphy Center.
