Spell checker wouldn't help with proper names. Doing your research would be the key. All these preseason rankings are message board fodder anyway. Will be interesting to see who was the closest but that is a long way off.

Still a relatively young program, FAU is the fastest program ever to reach a FBS bowl game and it is still looking to branch out and make its mark around Florida.

With a ways to go to compete with the infamous big three programs in Florida, the Owls have put on their helmets and gone to work this spring. Led by former Miami coach Howard Schnellenberger, the Owls have embarked on a course that once again has goals set on reaching a bowl game this season

Have you ever seen a pre-season write up that says less about the team for the upcoming season?

Yeah, I don't see why he listed us at 119 either.

But then again, I'm not convinced he did much homework at all on the belt.

I did'nt read the article but if thats what it said hes a COMPLETE *******. It wouild take about 30 seconds of google searching to understand what the questions are about FAU's program this year.

I agree that #119 is a little high, but he didn't include any FCS teams or you could have been looking at the mid to upper 130's for the banana peppers.

Remind me again, what you guys are gonna have for talent after TY graduates?

Come talk to me again if you win another bowl. Trust me, it AINT easy to duplicate, as FAU is the only 'Belt team to do it yet.

I'm going to have to agree with you.

When you accomplish something for the first time, there's a whole lot of reasons why you won't do it again the next season.

Some of it is just football, lucky bounces going the other way, injuries that you didn't have last season. Alot of it is that you now wear the target for the rest of the conference.

To their credit, and for the rest of us, our dismay, Troy has gotten comfortable with the target. It remains to be seen what FIU does with it next year.

But I'll say this, FIU's OOC schedule gives them the best chance of success than any of the rest of us.

There's one unit on this team that's going to shock the crap out of this conference.

Can't wait to see all the surprised looks on your faces. 04-jawdrop04-jawdrop04-jawdrop04-jawdrop

FIU's defense isn't going to surprise anyone. Bullseye is on you. Can you handle the pressure better that MTSU did?
