Cunningham, Quinn lead US to first

LAKE PLACID — Nick Cunningham and Johnny Quinn took first in the men's bobsled in the 2011 Lake Placid America's Cup at the Olympic Sports Complex Friday.

Cunningham and Quinn, representing the U.S., finished with a total time of 1:52.84.

Cory Butner and Laszlo Vandracsek took second for the U.S. with a time of 1:52.91, not far off the winners.

Americans took home four of the top 10 finishes.

Canada's Chris Spring and Timothy Randall rounded out the top three with a time of 1:53.18.

Competition continues through Saturday.
