Butler Bulldogs
Man, I am jealous of Butler. These guys are carrying the torch for all the so called mid majors and now they are in the final 4 again. This should give a ray of hope to all SBC schools. They don't have a roster full of McDonald's All Americans and basically recruit the same level players most of the SBC does. They have nothing left to prove. I am so glad to see them beat all the big dollar programs along the way. They have nothing left to prove whether they win the title or not. Too bad football doesn't have a playoff you get voted to the title game, what kind of BS is that.

RE: Butler Bulldogs
between George Mason, Memphis, Butler, and now VCU...there have been several "non big 6" interlopers in the Final Four recently...
yet the selection committee still gives the BE 11 freaking bids while CUSA, the CAA, and others fight for more than 1 bid.
**edited to include VCU**

RE: Butler Bulldogs
I'm going to have to jump on their bandwagon, especially since they are former Sun Belt members.

I loved how all the analyst said they (VCU) didn't deserve a shot at the tournament!

No conference should get more than 50% of its teams in the NCAA. Butler is doing something amazing and could end up winning a National title.

Not sure the budgets of all the SBC Schools, but this is the difference between Butler/VCU vs FAU (just in the Sun-Sentinel today):
" Here are the numbers – the basketball budgets and revenues for the three –
VCU -- $2,324,111 budget, same revenue
Butler -- $2,822,892 budget, same revenue
FAU -- $1,204,402 budget, revenue $379,745 (net loss of $825,657)"

Neither Butler nor VCU invests money in football like talking about, so basketball is their money sport.
