I used to be one one, but it got pulled. This is the only one I know of. Wish there were some action. I would like to discuss Maine basketball.

I just relocated to Maine and decided to follow the BlackBears since they play football. I know they have a strong Hockey team but I know nothing about their football and basketball teams.

Maine basketball has been mediocre lately. They were 12-16 overall last season, 7-9 in the conference. They return four starters next season, however, so we are hoping for good things.

Maine will play Nevada this upcomming season (28 December). Hopefully this game will be televised.

Whatever HS basketball talent there is in Maine, it appears UM is getting its share.

Hey Alliespappy....

Are UMO's games televised? Do they stream their games on the internet? Who is the main rival? Break it down for me! I'm 3,100 miles from my alma mater and it appears UMO is the major athletic program in Maine. I'm trying to become a Blackbears fan but I need a little background.

Don't know about TV. Yahoo streams some schools' games each year, but we won't know about that until the season. Their main rivals, I am sure, are Vermont and NH, since there is not another D-1 team in Maine.
