The opinion some on this board have of liberals is a caricature painted by Beck and Limbaugh

There is nothing logically about liberalism and it is completely devoid of reality. This can be seen in Detroit. Conservatism, however, is how beautiful and peaceful suburbs pop up.

Yes.. surprisingly when you use the worst example of something you can find without any regard to anything else, it's easy to make a point.

They've controlled the damn city for over 50 years. The MAJORITY of the kids qualify and are on free school lunches. While probably not a utopia to you libs, it is a liberal reality of what happens when your policies are put in place.

Oh, I can use MANY cities. Jackson, Ms. is one of'em. Canton, Oh. is another. Hell, let's try a state. Why are so many people leaving California?

There are a lot of good thinkers out there who would make a great presidents, led by common sense decision-making and sound judgement. The problem is, the vast majority don't have the stomach to parade around in spotlights, campaign, put themselves and their close family under a constant microscope (even after the presidency), nor don't have the thick skin to trade constant barbs with opponents, get blasted on a daily basis, be in constant 'conflict' mode, etc. It takes a certain combative Type A personality with a slick salesperson's edge to desire getting deeply involved with politics on any level above a city councilman.

I don't have to think it, I see it all the time.

Sarah Palin = dumb redneck who quit on the people who elected her so she could run for a higher office and only makes money by selling her life to other dumb rednecks
Obama = "self-made millionaire" through his book sales

John McCain = long-time Washington insider who just married into money
John Kerry = "intellectual war hero"

Bristol Palin = hypocrite for taking a pro-abstinence stance
Michelle Obama = "health conscious"

Koch Bros = quench their thirst with the tears of poor children
George Soros = "humanitarian"

Please note that I did not, nor will I ever support McCain and/or Palin for President.

RE: Herman Cain: TARP Supporter
The article Rebel links to above asks if Herman Cain could be "the Butler Bulldogs of the 2012 presidential race".

Perhaps so -- and if he is, that would definitely be something to sit up and take notice of. But it still leaves open the question: who will be the Duke Blue Devils?
