Not much Motown Sheryl Crow?? Jonas Brother(s)??

Is Berry Gordy even attending? I can't imagine that he and any living members from "the glory days" wouldn't, but I haven't heard that.

I don't blama Obama for any of that.... he didn't organize it

Sheryl Crow is from close enough to Memphis to have some Soul credentials and she is one HOT 50 year old. She can come to my party anytime.

You don't want to be shaking hands with her though.

Ham, I don't think it's just this one party because I hear that most nights at the WH are party time. But how much party time should a president have when people are losing their jobs, homes, retirement savings, etc? The guy has lost touch.

Dang, a tad melodramatic are we?

I bet the guy even sleeps 8 hours on most days...what a uncaring bastard!!

Good point. He can't party enough to satisfy me. 24/7/365 is fine. He's less dangerous that way.

I think Obama will be reelected. I just hope that after eight years of Obama there's enough left of the US to be worth saving.

But I don't expect that. We've been on the wrong track since the 1960s, and Obama has stepped on the accelerator. And the republicans don't seem to have a clue how to turn it around.

I hope and pray for gridlock. If not, I see Argentina in one generation and Zimbabwe in two. I'm dead serious.

I prefer Hillary to Obama, primarily because there's some hope that Bill can talk some sense into her.

But at this point Obama, Hillary, republicans, it really doesn't matter. We're on the wrong track, and none of them seem capable of doing more than rearranging the deck chairs.

You are 100% correct. Both parties are far more concerned about maintaining power and pushing their respective (perceived) ideologies than maintaining our nation

How pathetic is it that out future may rest on the ability of a husband to talk sense into the wife?

I'm sure we'll survive Obama. The idea of spending way beyond your means was here long before Obama, and will be here long after he's gone.

You are more optimistic than I.

Obama may not have invented it, but he has taken it to new lows.
And we're in a lot worse shape to handle it now, after 50 years of it, than we were 50 years ago.

If nothing changes, your prediction may be right. I guess I'm optimistic that something will change, and I don't think it necessarily has to happen in the next 4 years, though that would obviously be preferable. Maybe I'm just 03-drunk
