Andrew Cuomo is making sense

The idea that Andrew Cuomo would emerge as a voice of fiscal sanity in New York State comes as a great shock to me. But that is exactly what he has been doing, both in the month or so since he took office as Governor, and also during the campaign.

If the Democrat Governor of New York -- and the son of Mario Cuomo, at that -- really and truly understands that his state has reached the final limit of what the New Deal/Great Society agenda can achieve, that could mark an historic turning-point in politics, not just in NY but within the Democrat Party across the US. I'm still very skeptical that will happen, but there are some encouraging signs. So here's hoping.
