IF English feels the need for another QB for his '11 class.

I believe this requires a subscription, but the QB on Poole/Kurtz's Santa Ana C.C. team apparently is pretty darn good and could be eligible to sign after completing his A.A. degree in May (with 3 years of elig remaining).

Good size (6' 2" over 200 lbs) and great accruacy.

If he had graduated in Dec. he might have gotten a Pac-10 offer, UNLV, etc.

Andrew McDonald. Former preferred walk-on [where have I heard that term before. ] at Arizona and getting looks from good schools. Might have gotten a scholarship at Arizona his redshirt season, but broke a bone and then transferred to Santa Ana.

It would be tough to try and add a 2nd QB in this class esp. with a rising junior and a redshirt frosh, but this kid is a BCS qb.

This has been a very tough winter in Southeast MI. Correct?

Cal boys will adjust to the weather just fine, they're tougher than you may think. The indoor facility is a blessing for all the althletes.

I wonder if Calmes was the other DL English was to sign?

He was listed as a LB but projected to DL. Sounds like his recruiting was confusing and he didn't go I-A.

I wonder what English is going to do with the last (?) scholarship not given out?

Its just a nice long ways from home, which is always a concern. JUCO or not...i'll take a pipeline, i dont know about you guys...

We just have long pipelines to SoCal and Chicago.

English and staff must burn through some serious money on recruiting those two areas.

Even though a lot of our recruits are a long ways from home, many are high school or JUCO teammates. Sure that really helps. Cotton/Russell and Reed/Scoot and Poole/Kurtz.
