And if she does believe that, it would be a problem for you how?

And does she believe that? I haven't heard her say such a thing.

She was quoted as disputing evolutionary theory and tagged a biblical literalist" early on in the 08 campaign. I personally could care less about the views of my neighbors on this. I just have a problem with one of them possibly being becoming my national leader. Others are certainly free to disagree.

Forced to choose between someone who believes the world was created in seven days and somebody who believes that the "stimulus" worked and that Obamacare will save money, I'll take the lesser of evils and vote for the creationist.

What they believe happened 6000 years ago can't hurt me. What they do with my tax dollars can.

Well...I of course.. voted for neither.04-cheers I was a write in for RP.
I don't know if this issue would have made much difference. The GOP made its war bed and had to lie in it and the economic mess was the last straw. I still think she was a terrible choice for VP and she did nothing to draw votes from the old RR democrats and classical liberals. I have warmed to her more now...but...that issue still is a concern to me as voter.

That claim was made but has never been confirmed by her. The literalist part. She does believe in creationism but believes it should be taught along side of evolution.

That alone would influence me to support someone else or simply refrain from participation in the system....Others are certainly welcome to do otherwise.
I have zero problem with people of faith. Actually I consider it a personal issue and none of my business...but..once you expound that type of "out of the mainstream" belief system...you put yourself at risk of others in disagreement. Once the cat is out of the bag..it is very hard to catch that rascal and put it back in.
I like Mrs Palin and think she is a well intentioned person...just not enough to vote for her as the leader of America.

RE: The Squeezing of the Middle Class
So Ron Paul rejects creationism? Believes in evolution?

Good question Paul. I really do not know for sure. He was asked that question and said that "evolution was a theory". There is debate about what that actually meant. I do not recall RP expounding further on the issue.

Hey...I totally disagree with him on his stance on abortion...but...similarly to the issue you pose....Ron Paul opposes ALL Federal funding for education and abortion and firmly believes that these issues should be handled by the states...not the Federal government.

Anyway...You posed a fair question for further thought...thanks04-cheers
